She's met Amitabh and Jaya when they came for some event. Jaya was warm and easy while Amitabh was a nasty old fart acc to her. Her words, not mine. 😆

Having to deal with constant nastiness takes a toll I imagine.

I have previously said parents should stay together for kids. But that only works if BOTH parents are committed to working together for the kids. In the face of chronic cheating, there's really no practical point to staying except financial and social (to avoid the ostracization).

But of course, there's the social conditioning.

25% is quite a lot too. But child support is also a thing in India . And she could have gone back to working herself.

Child maintenance in India is recognised under Section 125 CrPC. It has been provided that the child can claim maintenance from the father in India. Section 26 of the Hindu Marriage Act also provides for maintenance of child under Hindu law.

I don’t have much knowledge of black money and how well it can be tracked. But I am pretty sure AB would have taken responsibility for his kids at the very least.

Exactly what I’ve heard about Jaya too. She can be really nice depending on the day & her mood. I know people who’ve visited their house & Jaya apparently personally takes care of your food, putting it in your plate, serving you, insisting you eat hot rotis etc. Like a typical submissive good Indian wife. Exactly the “values” Sr was looking for in a wife. 🤢

Now am not saying these are values that make one “nice”, but it’s a different way of looking at Jaya. Plus, she was so nice & warm too according to them.

25% of money that's on tax papers. That AB kept black money in Swiss Bank is a well known scandal.

Jaya would've been in her 30s by the time the Rekha affair started. Past her prime as lead actress. If she pissed off Amitabh, she wouldn't even get character roles.

Child support amount also depends on how much you declare to the govt.

Yes, now we think AB would've taken responsibility for his kids, but think in the there and then. He's marrying Rekha. They presumably would have children. Rekha herself was left high and dry by her father acc to gossip. Same child support laws were in existence then too.

Lots of such considerations come in to play. I've seen it happen among women I know. Look, most people know me as 100% feminist. But you can have rights only if you manage to survive. When survival is the name of the game, you sometimes can't afford principles.

Old timers say Jaya was bubbly and vivacious and it is marriage to AB that ruined her and changed her entirely.

AB is dominating AF and never got along well with his younger brother either.

I watched video of a Pakistani diplomat who visited Bachchans when he came to India. He said Jaya serves guests personally and so does Ash and they do not get maids or staff to serve food and drinks to guests.

Jaya is trad and asks Navya to look after guests too and never demands same of her grandson.

Rekha has a point. I think it must be very flattering for a female to have been wanted by someone like AB in his prime. The world was at his feet, and he was crazy about her.

Nothing great in being other woman. You desire him. He does not. He moved on and still lives with wife, kids, grandkids while you have ruined own identity and career, reduced your image to mere obsession with one married man.

It is a joke on you that the man used Parveen, Amrita, Moushumi, Sayali and many more and kept moving on while you are in delusions that he desired you.

lol kuch bhi. Of course he desired her. It's another thing he was constrained and decided to stick it out with his hag of a wife. It's hard to forget old flames. Ask a guy and he will tell you that they still remember their affairs from school and look back on them fondly. Purane aashiq zindagi bhar nahi bhoole jaate, even if one has since acquired other aashiqs😆

LMAOOO. If he was so “crazy” about Rekha, he would’ve married her & given her the validity that she so so obsessively & desperate craves from him. What does it say, that he never has or even acknowledges the fact that the WHOLE WORLD knows how significant a part of his life she has been, since several decades. So absolutely not.

My pop-theory on this is that AB like most men, craves to be given obsessive adulation (esp a man like him who has been used to it since day 1. Case in point: People rise when he enters rooms/sets in BW.) and a beautiful & very successful STAR like Rekha giving it to him, is what he loves. I don’t see love here. It’s almost like a master-slave dynamic.

ETA: I really hope you’re trolling otherwise I’ve just wasted my previous WL posts to engage with your post. LOL.

LOL! Amitabh used her easily as he used other women and also has his wife to serve him and his family.

He got best of both worlds. He could have easily left Jaya and married Rekha but he did not. He could have done polygamy like Dharmendra but he did not, purely for sake of own image.

He also knew what Rekha was before she got makeover.

He is still reportedly using all women while being perfect family man in eyes of world and his wife taking care of him, his grandkids and kids.
