The two women are ten down for wanting a man who can't stay faithful and can't choose one and stay with one 🤔

See this is why men get away and women end up fighting with each other

Rekha has led a tragic life. I think issues with her parents also led her to be obsessed with Amitabh and romanticize attention she got from him.

I have heard Amitabh secretly still meets Rekha and I remember that pic from plane went viral few years ago.

I feel so bad for Jaya for tolerating this shit and for Rekha to still be fine with this arrangement.

Jaya is fine & lives her life well. I don’t feel sorry for her as such b/c she’s made her choices. However troubling they might be to us. Also, there’s no such thing as a “lesbian relationship.” It’s just a relationship with 2 women in it. Yep. The rumours are super strong here so must have truth to them.

And this is also a reason why many men think one just needs to be famous or rich and not a 'nice guy' if he wants women because women will chase him anyway.

It is a shame how many women AB managed to use and throw yet more came to him or remained obsessed or faithful to him.

This may also be a reason why many misogynists think women are more emotional and anyone can make her put up with anything in name of love and making her emotionally attached or exploiting her emotions.

Rekha had many options before her. And had no pressure of in laws and kids like Jaya. Still remaining madly and hopelessly obsessed and used by AB says a lot about her low self esteem.

I did not use the word lesbian in a negative sense.

Rekha can do whatever she wants. But her wasting herself over Amitabh is what makes me feel sad for not just her but women like her in general.

If women like Jaya and Rekha were not okay with such arrangements then men like Amitabh would not get away with what they did.

Totally agreed with everything except there have been very strong rumours since decades that Rekha is bisexual. I don’t believe she makes her secretary dress like Sr ONLY b/c of her massive obsession with Sr. It’s tragic in any case though & Rekha has lived a very tragic life. Sr & she have been together since the 70s. A couple of years ago, a pilot took a selfie with Sr & Rekha was RIGHT behind him, sleeping peacefully in a white sari. 😆

The most EPIC was ARB though at the Stardust awards. She won an award, came on stage with Rekha presenting her the award. She touched her feet & said, “Thank you, MAA.” 🤣 Only ARB can throw such shade with the utmost elegance.

I remember this. She said “ Thank you Rekha Maa “.
Must have gotten back at Jaya for something. It was hilarious. Wonder what transpired in the Bachchan household that night.

Rekha also wrote an open letter to Ash when she completed 20 years in the industry ( why not send it to her personally ) and apparently she threw a shade at her own situation from what iv read.

OT - what a ridiculous statement to make. Have an affair with the married man and then rub salt in the wife’s wounds.

I don't know if I'd judge Jaya as harshly as that.

The 70s and 80s were culturally different times. She would've been ostracized if she left AB.

Not to mention finances. Female actors were not very smart with the money they earned back in the day. Trusting the wrong people, like a secretary or family, even left some destitute.

Jaya had fame, but she might not have had enough money to raise 2 kids on her own in the manner they were used to.

Yes, she also seems psychologically dependent on AB, but that is often not the only factor which went into consideration back in the day.

Alimony and child support wasn’t a thing back then ? I would never blame Jaya for the cheating. I am not sure if I would encourage woman to stay with a cheating husband. At the same time I don’t want to be too too harsh either.

Again even after the divorce the earning spouse. Or the spouse with more earnings would be giving her 50 percent of his savings and some more alimony. As well as additional child support for both of her kids.

now is a broken family healthier ? Or an unhappy couple in the same household ? I don’t know.

If I understand correctly, alimony laws in India are very loose even now. 25% of salary is what supreme court said as per a quick Google search. Even properties bought in wife's name are not hers to keep. And actors generally don't get paid salaries. The black money remains black and doesn't get counted toward alimony.

I have previously said parents should stay together for kids. But that only works if BOTH parents are committed to working together for the kids. In the face of chronic cheating, there's really no practical point to staying except financial and social (to avoid the ostracization).

But of course, there's the social conditioning.
