Mrityudand only. A great, fine, mature, controlled performance and that iconic dialogue- Aap pati hain, parmeshwar banne ka bhool mat kijiye.

A film ahead of its times and still relevant. Especially the bond she has with Shabana and how she welcomes her pregnancy without bothering if it was out of wedlock.

Anjaam was also good. But maturity and control in Mrityudand performance makes it best for me.

Madhuri is also good in Prahaar.

Most of her roles are that of a strong woman. She broke away from the set narrative that significant number of actresses followed at that time from Abodh itself to some extent and then with Tezaab.

Having said that, PremGranth, IMO, does not fall into the strong character type. It is a tragic character that does not take up cudgels on her own behalf despite she been abused and her baby been killed but waits for the male protagonist to give her justice.

Anjali in Pukar was yet another great character and so was Chandramukhi, Ganga in Khalnayak, Madhu, in Dil, who is more of a brat, Prem Pratigya, 100 days, Prem Deewane, The Fame Game and so many more.

Anjaam is a difficult film even by today's standard.

She has that rare uncanny ability to leave a significant, memorable impact on a film even with roles that have less screen time which is a hallmark of a fantastic actor, as seen in Lajja, Prahar and Devdas

Very Difficult to pick one option from your poll. All the roles you mentioned are amazing.

Even if they were not of a strong woman, they seem like with her confident dialogue delivery and diction. I love this about her, authoritative yet still sweet.

yes Prahaar was a good performance given she was way too young that time.

I liked her with Shabana in the utmost experimental Gaja Gamini as well, which very few understood, that too not entirely .
