Anyone who walks away has my respect 👍🏼

Yuck. All of them seem to have repressed mommy issues.

It’s unsettling that behind their cinematic legacy is years of objectifying women, traumatising them & stripping their dignity. Add to that, there’s serial cheating, alcoholism & emotional abuse of children. On and on the cycle goes.

Purana time mein women didn't work, apne yahan Parda pratha bhi thi, Indira Gandhi ne ek speech mein bataya tha ki even she was kept behind a parda

Jab Jawaharlal Nehru ji jo ki intellectual aur visionary mane jate the unke ghar mein ye system the to baki normal households mein kya hi hoga

Jo women work karne lagi they weren't liked, Britain mein bhi actresses aur singers were used as mistresses

Sab log yahi mante the ki jo bhi work kar raha hai outside the house, they are sleeping around and men didn't give these women their due respect

Unka salary bhi kam hota tha

Kapoor ya jo bhi bade bade actors hain they didn't want their girls or wife in film industry because society mein image kam hota tha aur unka khud ka mindset kharab tha dusre women ke liye

Of course she would say that, she can't publicly call out her grandfather and family.

But kudos to Karishma for making it as she never got support from the Kapoor family. She made connections with the Govinda, Salman, Akshay and found her footing.

Not just Raj Kapoor many actors did not want their daughters joining the industry as they themselves knew it was hard and a struggle

Except for a lot of women from the Bengali side like Kajol and Rani and their fathers were not top actors, women did not venture. Shweta Bachchan, Ridhima Kapoor etc.

It was mostly since 2000s that daughters came into the business

Ranbir is indeed quite tame and lesser evil compared to his cheap tharki manipulative grandfather who also used to sabotage films of rivals. He tried his best to sabotage Zanjeer and got its records outta music shops and also bought awards for Rishi for Bobby that year. It is another matter his tricks failed and Amitabh went on to be a way bigger icon than anyone from Kapoor khandaan post Raj Kapoor.

This is one of the example how Nepotism kills outsider talent.

When i am a child whenever Raj Kapoor films comes on TV i feel like switching off the TV as i felt his films are very bad 😆(without even knowing Hindi at that time, maybe the vibes ) 🤓

Raj Kapoor was a cheap man. He was one of the first person to bring casting couch in Bollywood. Neetu Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor became victim of casting couch. Both slept with producers for roles thanks to their mothers.

I used to dislike his films too and his whole face. He never gave me good vibes. And I hated his showing women nude or semi nude in films. Vulgar. Always switched off TV if there was a Raj Kapoor film onscreen.

I am not surprised he was against women joining films and did not allow women from Kapoor family to enter RK studios or meet much of media or film industry colleagues.

These guys knew what they did. No wonder they kept family women out.

Are you serious ? 😲

I mean seriously ? 😲

Have you seen the video and heard what she stated?

If yes than I must say that your own rigid perception is not allowing you to admit.

*Denying or not calling out is one thing, but have you heard HOW she aggressively denied she EVEN SOUNDED FRUSTRATED and asked even the interviewer that she don't know where such things come from. It was a REACTION of something that was not true, not just a meek diplomatic denial

*We have seen images of a younger Karishma at the sets of her initial films prem qaidi, paapi gudya etc where Randhir is there with her on the sets along with Babita, if u want I can share those if u have not seen those,

* She not just denied but infect ADDED that she PROMISED her DADA to not let her name down and will make her proud. She even said her dad Randhir is actually ENCOURAGING her regarding showbiz and films. Obviously, she could not SPECIALLY MADE SUCH "STORIES" about them, will never go to SUCH LENGTHS to LIE or coverup.

* Karishma like any other star had the choice to delete that portion requesting the channel, or chose not to ask such questions in a recorded interview before hand. its a norm and ethical practice.

* Half of the rumors about showbiz and stars are JUST RUMOURS and RUBBISH or exaggerations at best., but this forum loves to lap up all the masala rumors or exaggerated stories, even if the person in question telling otherwise in a HARD and CLEAR way LOUDLY from their own mouths.
