These days many jobless types also get to work as anchors on multiple TV channels like I have seen old actors and actresses from 90s working as anchors on channels like Food Food where they anchor shows on dishes for moms, kids or cover cuisine from across the world. Some work on radio, or work as voice over artistes or narrators and dub for others or record educational audio and videos for kids.

Flop singers also invest in real estate or start own music classes or record albums for regional music or bhajans etc.

Some work on stage and theatre. Some become writers or involved in spirituality like Smita Jayakar who played Ash's mom in HDDCS runs her own channel on spirituality.

Some become producers or writers. Faisal Khan for eg is into writing now.

Vivek and his dad Suresh Oberoi are involved with Brahmakumaris and Ekal Vidyayala and work on their spiritual or social initiatives.

Some have also gotten involved into reiki, meditation, gem stones therapy, yoga and started own reiki, meditation or yoga centres. Some have become grooming or beauty experts or fashion designers or interior designers or started own jewellery design business.

Some have launched own restaurants or bakeries like Sunil Shetty began his chain of restaurants after his films started flopping and Sarah Jane Dias has her own bakery.

Some are these mommy bloggers and take money from brands as influencers. Sameera Reddy, Tara, Soha are all such mommy blogger influencers.

Esha Deol also wrote a book on motherhood and also does ads, stage performances with her mom till date.

Many just marry rich men or women. Or settle abroad. Or attend these parties, weddings, garba or Navratri, Dahi Handi, Lohri, Baisakhi events as celeb guests for a fee or become judges of local talent hunts.

Mukesh Khanna still goes to schools cashing on Shaktimaan glories.

Some act in short films or documentaries online. Some become emcee or host and anchor events in real life. Simone Singh for eg is emcee for top brands and their launch events at 5 star hotels and charges a lot for each event.

Even in India the really big ones who get half the ratings on TV are paid a handsome pile of doe.

Yup I get it about the more famous ones, they earn pretty good, I am talking about not so popular ones who barely have any work, but as someone else explained, they may have invested good money in some side business or something, still does everyone do that? Mumbai is an expensive city, maintaining such lifestyle in itself must be quite difficult.

as much as I agree with this statement, its sadly true. so many of them are/were rumored to be high profile escorts. I have heard of Shweta Tiwari, Sakshi tanwar and it shocked me to the core but have read about them on multiple occasions and not just IF.

These actress have such demanding lifestyle and they have to keep up with the current trends. These days I guess it has become easier to either act in a web series or be an influencer coz these actors have millions of followers on their social media accounts and that works in their favors.

Edit to add: There have been instances where actors were also forced to give up their lifestyle for lack of money. long time back when Rajeev Khandelwaal quit KTH, he was forced to give up his luxurious car until he could earn more money, same for Hiten Tejwani who had to move to a small flat coz he didn't have money. I am sure there are more such stories which I am not aware of but not everything is always hunky dory in the lives of these actors.
