Imlie was originally a remake of a Bengali show so Gul didn't create the show or the characters. Even later when circumstances necessitated that the show deviate from the original Gul had no actual creative input. Granted Aryan Singh Rathore had all the hallmarks of Gul male protagonist but credit for his creation goes to a team of creatives comprising of Atif Khan, Muskaan Bajaj and some others whose names I don't know.
