Brahmastra Records Historic Numbers Overseas

Brahmastra has recorded historic numbers overseas thanks to its huge business in US / Canada. The film comfortably crossed the $3 million mark overseas on day one including paid previews. The film could be heading for a $9-10 million weekend including paid previews and even if we dont count the paid previews it may well be close to $9 million.

Nothing like this has been seen overseas post the pandemic and even if we go pre pandemic then the collections will be among the top 3 or 4 films in the history of Hindi cinema. Only two films have topped $10 million and they are Padmaavat and Dangal.

It remains to be seen where Brahmastra lands after the weekend but after an excellent opening day in India its an extraordinary response overseas driven by the US / Canada markets. The apprx collectiosn of Brahmastra overseas are as follows.

United Kingdom - £165,000 ($190,000)

USA / Canada - $1,850,000

Gulf - $450,000

Australia - A$305,000 ($210,000)

ROW - $500-600k

TOTAL - $3,300,000 apprx.
