Did SRK’s PR really lie about his poor background?
Movie’s concept pulled crowds and not any actor , I hope Ayan gets credits for where it’s due .
Embarrassing to credit RK for anything when his last pull was Shamshera which was also a big budget movie. Only credit for Karan and Ayan.
Whatever record this has broken, it was the 4cr from south that has pushed it over the edge and that is thanks to Rajmouli, and Ntr Jr. getting involved in the last week.
So yes Ayan and Karan do get credit for the big opening but pushing it past Dhoom3’s non-holiday record of 36cr is due to Rajmouli.
I SHOUT AGAIN , IF OPENING WAS FLOPPY, I BLAME RK
NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE 🙏
KGF 2 released on Ambedkar Jayanti. It was a national holiday release. RRR was a non-holiday release but had an opening day of only 19 cr in hindi.Originally posted by: Shaitan-Haiwan
This is very misleading. Didnt they jack up the ticket prices? Also, What Holiday did KGF release on? And RRR?
Dont count your eggs before they hatch. Disaster awaits and there is no astra for it.

if the opening would have been floppy then the blame should have gone to RK
100%
since you posted tweets claiming opening is because of him wonder where the people were a month earlier if his pull is sooo strong on a non-holiday.
No but blame would be on Alia cause as I know every flop film is not RKs fault but happily takeing credit when it has a good opening.

They are talking about an originally Hindi movie opening in a non-holiday. So RRR, KGF2, Bahubali don’t count because they are not originally Hindi movies.
Yes IMAX (where a large chunk of the advance booking came from) tickets were around 1500 from what I’ve read. So ticket prices have been very high. There’s also the fact that this was officially a pan India movie with Nagarjuna, albeit he’s not a big star anymore. But Ntr Jr is, and Rajmouli is an institution. So their support made a huge difference, let’s be fair here. Despite all of that it broke Dhoom3’s record by around 1cr only.
It’s not a misleading article as much as it’s sort of jumping through hoops to write a headline about braking records. But that’s BOI for you. They do things like this with every movie depending on their like or dislike for the artists/makers.

dont want even get into that part but it’s Karan who made it possible that he was even the mentor for Ayan while doing that movie. Make him meet him and even get him on board for distribution.

I have mentioned it in more than one post in the last several weeks that if the movie flops it’s primarily on Ayan and then KJo since he’s the producer. As a matter of fact majority of people on IF have talked about how all of this would be Ayan’s responsibility since it was all his vision of execution. Ranbir will receive a lot of flak for giving another flop (potentially, let’s see what happens on Monday). His star power will be questioned and dissected, his so called superstar status will be mocked. But ultimately most people won’t be blaming him for Brahmstra’s failed outcome should that happen. By the same token, he doesn’t deserve this credit for the opening and final numbers either.
