The first, Churchill, was born in 1874 while the present one, Liz Truss, was born in 1975.

As victims of colonialism and imperialism we have a vastly differing, albeit justified perception of the British monarchy.

Nevertheless, I find that to be very remarkable. To have lived through so many major world events, the kind of leaders that she was acquainted with...it truly is the end of the era. But Brits must really do a think-over about the importance of monarchy in the modern world after her passing.
