My reason to post here is my curiosity/restlessness.... actually I want to know basit mom's back story .... I mean what happened when Basit was kid ? Why did she leave ? I mean if she loved someone else or other reason? And how come she was back to basit ?

I am yet to watch starting episodes ... so I am very confused about her story ... and after her death I am just restless to know what actually happened and how they gonna give closer to basit's pain.

Plz update me if they showed anything regarding her back story or where she was ? Was she married to someone else?

Everyone is asking for the closure , I hope they give it to us. It was shown that she isn't happy with Salman (basits father ), they divorced and she wanted to take basit with her but Salman insisted not to . Salman said that he didn't stop her , but he has only basit to live for so sadia left with a heavy heart .

What we don't know is why sadia never tried to meet basit later if they parted on amicable terms ? Did she have an affair bec of which she divorced Salman? Does she have another family and if yes why weren't they present when she died ? Why did Salman not tell basit abt sadia and her reasons for leaving ? Howcome basit grew up with so much bitterness for sadia when Salman had none ?

Do watch the initial epis , they were really good. Soha basit story,ayeshas family, bano talal story ..it was good overall.

And yessss...let us discuss the kitchen scene. I liked something the fuschia magazine review mentioned which is that even when Ayesha had gone to the dinner with Fahad, Basit had been slightly restless, though we see him brush it off. Still, he waits for her to return without changing.

I think the same restlessness stuck him in the kitchen scene. I don't want to call it jealousy or even insecurity at this moment. Perhaps he felt slightly left out. When Basit did come into the kitchen, he stood where Ayesha was standing. He put himself between Fahad and Ayesha. He never looked at Ayesha directly, but you just know he is tuned to her movements.

When Basit left the kitchen after Bano came, he sent a look in Fahad's direction. Initially, I had thought it was because he guessed something between Fahad and Bano but then I realised Basit does not have that great a sense of reading people's emotions. Fahad understands him far more than Basit understands Fahad. So that look must come from that same restlessness that had brought him to the kitchen in the first place.

Basit has certainly changed. He cares what Ayesha thinks of him now. Earlier in ep 15 when he had accused Ayesha of complaining about him to his mom, that had come out of a sense of jealousy perhaps of her growing attachment to his mother. And we know he has a natural insecurity when it comes to women. Initially he had tried to keep a distance between Ayesha and himself because of this. But even within that distance, we have seen how he himself is inching closer to her in different ways.

Funny thing is just when Basit has started caring what Ayesha thinks of him, Ayesha is genuinely angry at him. When Fahad comes to tell her to watch what she says to Basit, her face hardened. But as you said, even within her anger, there is concern for Basit.

Btw congrats on your new place. Hope your shifting went smoothly.

Hi thank you for your wishes, the shifting is a temporary situation but very hectic 😅 I would like to say that your posts are a delight to read as well and I always look forward to them 😊 Your observations regarding Ayesha and Basit’s relationship dynamic are very astute.

I feel as soon as Basit has started becoming slightly more invested in the relationship, Ayesha seems to be pulling away emotionally. I say emotionally because she does seem to care about his well-being and wants to ensure that he’s well fed and taken care of, thereby fulfilling the role of being a wife (I say this because in brown cultures, these are largely perceived to be the duties of a wife). However, emotionally, I believe she has been hurt by Basit’s callousness in the past, especially following the non appearance at dinner, not letting her work, the raised hand, the frivolous apology and the birthday episode. She did seem to be making an effort before all of these incidents. This has changed now, she’s formed an opinion about Basit that he’s a cold man who doesn’t care about her and needs no one.

On the other side, we see slow progress in Basit’s attitude towards Ayesha. You are absolutely right to use the word “restless”. That’s exactly what he was on the night of the dinner and even while looking at Ayesha and Fahad in the kitchen. He probably felt left out and needed some change from the constant grief and regret.

I believe that Habs promos have been largely misleading. Do you think this is going to go in the direction of Basit doubting Ayesha and Fahad? Maybe the director has another angle up his sleeve.

So from the promo what I could make out was that there’s this scene from the bedroom where Ayesha is keeping her bag, which makes me believe that they went out somewhere..

Ayesha has formed an opinion that Basit needs no one as she tells her mother who for a change is trying to give sound advice.

Then both Ayesha and Basit are sitting for tea and Basit looks upset. Ayesha talks about Sadia, do you think Basit started the Said convo keeping in mind the last episode where Fahad advices Ayesha to not speak to Basit about his mother?

Fahad’s advice to Basit that all is not lost and he still has a woman in his life seems very apt.

Then there is this dining table scene (which looks like breakfast) where Basit is seen putting food on his plate and even offering it to Ayesha 🥰 But Basit gives her this look which conveys a very weird emotion, I think he’s trying to very subtly look for her approval. But she seems almost disappointed. What did you guys think about this?

The last scene where Ayesha is seen thanking someone and Basit seems to eavesdropping may be misleading. I mean the director has done this before… Also Zoya is running away, could the conversation be about finding Zoya?

That I think the episode with be filled with ayesha and basit scenes

Despite the fact that these scenes don't seem to be lovely scenes

But anyway we get to have more screen time for them, it would be satisfactory in addition to as you said the promos are misleading.

I want to ask you also what scenes do you imagined for bayesha to have in the next episodes?

Poor guy, if pain of all these years wasn't enough, now he is guilt ridden too .... sadia leaving basit is an important plot of show, so I am kinda sure in coming episodes we'll hv the backstory( what sadia wanted to tell basit) . Let's see how they do it..

Bold :- I hv different idea about promo.. what I feel is after listening to ayesha over phone talking to someone else, he'll not doubt her but he'll get jealous. Or probably he'll make efforts to work on relationship... like in same promo they showed basit passing breakfast to ayesha ( old basit would never sit through for breakfast and offer it to ayesha😆)

So I am lil positive here.. I really hope this turned out to be the way I am thinking and not take the doubting on wife route 🤞

More than basit I am worried ayesha will push him away with her constant taunts and her opinion about him ... I'll wait for episode to see if ayesha's dialogue that he doesn't care if someone lives or die, has solid ground or its just last week's continuation of ayesha on taunting spree..

I was just thinking to skip initial episodes... but thanks now I gonna watch them all ....

If I am not wrong they had shown she came there to stay permanently with basit as per Salman's wish..

So high chances she didn't have other family. I mean she never got married again...

If it is the case of lack of love in sadia-Salman separation then high chances they gonna show history repeating nd all those MUs between ayesha-basit will be cause of basit's less understanding about relationships nd ayesha's expectations of a normal relationship, where she craves for love not luxuries...

I just mentioned in other post I strongly feel precap is misleading for eavesdropping part ... like you said it can be related to zoya ... but one thing is clear even if it is zoya related, ayesha gonna trust someone else and not basit for the help .. so ground is set for basit to feel more insecure about the relationship ... if ayesha declaring him heartless/emotionless on his face wasn't enough, she is actually going ahead with discussing about him with others and that too not good thoughts.

Need not to say her thoughts do affect basit nd he wants her approval that he is not a heartless man. So we might get to see basit trying harder in this relationship after he listens to her over phone.

He is already burdened with the pain of his mom abandoning him, so the fear of ayesha leaving too is deep rooted and even though he never shows or voice it, but coming episodes we'll see it ...

Divorce..separation😖 it was one of them 🤣 Dunno exactly what. She left bas itna pata hai..

Yeah lack of love was the reason sadia moved out . She wasn't happy with Salman. Ab she had an affair , she has a second family , nobody knows. Sadia madam is a mystery .

Salman called her when he was dying , to make sure basit is not orphaned completely and that he marries as per his will..he gave his property etc to sadia , which basit will get only on the condition that he marries someone.
