Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi was a copy of The Parent Trap, which was a huge hit.

Also, Kajol was being hailed as the numero uno around 1998-1999 time with most of her films becoming hits.

And there was a saying at that time that every superstar must play a double role in his/her career.

That's why Kajol's double role was huge thing back then, and I liked the film as a kid😆.

im pretty sure the movie flopped though😆

Makdee was another one I enjoyed😆

Welcome had some good scenes too. But the best thing was Akki-Kat chemistry. Though I liked them better in NL and HDKG

BTW my kids do not understand Hindi, they read subtitles

But all these movies have no language barriers... movie like Danak which is a story set in rural india and about the love between brother and sister.. (and the little boy's love for Salman khan.. :)

my kids grew up in US could relate to these kids.. they laughed with them and cried with the movie... and enjoyed the music too!

Yes, I miss those times when we had films that catered to kids ❤️

I loved watching Mr. India, Raju Chacha, Chachi 420, Koi Mil Gaya, Taare Zameen Par, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi, Chillar Party, Do Dooni Char & Secret Superstar, even Bhootnath.

Makdee was a scary movie for me and my siblings 😆

i watch some movies from the south with my kids (they are 10+), like some of the village type family movies, charlie 777 , karthikeya 2, bangalore days is also child friendly, even movies like doctor, beast are watchable with kids

As you are from Karnataka and you like rishabh's work... have you watched Sa.Hi.Pra. shale Kasargod?..the film is kid friendly👍🏼Pra. SHi. Pra. Shale Kasara

There’s also been a shift in values of society as a whole. People don’t want to watch light, heart warming stuff. They want so-called ‘content oriented’ stuff but most of it is equally bad or trash. Look at the troll culture online, it seems to me people are so unhappy that getting offended and trolling is a trend. Idk why I feel we had a happier childhood. I know every generation is nostalgic but think about it, we had exposure too all kind of media and entertainment but it was moderate in nature - it was far healthier. This is the age of over exposure and the previous gen didn’t have too much exposure, may be the 80s born people.. but not before that.

True👍🏼
