As per IF article, Cheeni sides with Imlie at the moment. 9 months later when Imlie has her own daughter, they will meet a fatal accident due to Malini and Imlie manages to save both the children. But while saving an unconscious Cheeni, she wakes up and sees Imlie rushing to save her daughter and misunderstands the whole thing as Imlie prioritising her own daughter over her. And then the cycle continues.

I don't watch too many hindi shows at the moment but at least in regional shows, they show more realistic women and arcs.

am watching an afternoon soap about a lady who works as a domestic helper for a rich family. the twist is that she is actually the daughter of that house but there was a baby swap and so she ended up growing in the village. anyway, what I like is that they are showing as a strong single mom who is resilient. her husband ran out of on her with tons of debts and rejected their daughter because it was a girl child. now, he is re-married and when she runs into him in the city, she just spits in his face. the new wife isn't jealous and thinking he is going back to this lady. instead, they are now grappling with his infertility. meanwhile the female lead is working as a delivery person for a restaurant during her off-hours so that she can buy stuff for her daughter.

the other hindi show I am watching on and off is harphoul mohini (colours tv) -- very different take on rural life and strong social drama messaging. it is rather interesting.

so I wouldn't paint ITV in the same brush. there have been lots of shows where the women are strong, different and take no crap from anyone. lots of shows where women have lot more going on than just kitchen politics. it all depends on the channel and the heads. even some of the older hindi shows I occasionally watched were interesting. I think there are ebbs and flows when it comes to content and watching relatable characters on TV.

plus as someone pointed out earlier, there is a specific audience for imlie and I think that audience wants kitchen politics. 🤷

I don't live in India😊 The main channels which are available are SP, Colours, Zee, and Sony. Per my experience, only Sony caters to international audiences. I don't relate to shows which are shown on Zee. Beintehaa was the last show which I had watched on Colours.

So you are right....can't group everything under ITV. I just do not have a very good experience based on what I have seen.

to be honest, that IF article seems like such a lame reason for a generational conflict.

I prefer my theory instead as it has lot more dhamaka and masala. 😂

but then again, it hardly matters since I am just peeking in till S1 ends. :)

I totally agree. The only reason I want her to die is because I dont want to see her gloating over Arylie's dead bodies. If at all the character is retained after the gen leap, she will probably be shown extremely happy that she finally got her revenge (even though she would've lived a meaningless life)

I would say that an even better alternative to death would be to actually show her serving time in prison.

Mayuri is leaving. She posted a pic captioned "last few" and gul said whole new cast in her comments when someone asked about sumbul retention.

Nothing makes sense. It is what it is.

None of us are staying for post leap as sumbul has also announced her exit.

I don't like the whole idea of focusing on Cheeni who is actually the daughter of villain n not imlie

None the less she was illegitimate as mother crossed all her limits just to make her sister lose everything

The leap was unnecessary to bring in Cheeni n I never like the whole idea of bringing a child....

My version of the leap wud have been After Jo ka PF when imlie was pregnant with Cheeku ...Malini is reintroduce..She suffered miscarriage n wants imlie's to lose her everything as well...

So imlie is seen working on a dangerous story ..Malini meets Badi maa n makes a plan with her to kill imlie once n for all

Imlie recieves a call from Abp mobile that her husband life is in danger..if she wants to meet her husband for last time than she should reach the mentioned location

Imlie reached the location only to find out Malini n Badi maa waiting for her .. imlie n Malini have confrontation about the past .. imlie tries hard to make her understand that she was not to be blamed...but Malini blames her for everything...just Malini pushes imlie n she falls .. imlie tries to escape but is hit by someone from the back ..she starts bleeding from her nose n losing her eyesight... imlie tells Badi maa to save her n her Abp ...bari maa says Aryan is alright but she needs to die..bari maa stabs her with dagger in her stomach.. imlie cries in pain n warns that her Abp will not spare them if he finds about them ...

Malini says who will tell Aryan ...you ...but for that u need to be alive , Malini pushes imlie off the cliff... imlie is declared dead

Then the leap of 2 years ... Aryan is turned stone nothing matter to him ...he goes to the spot where imlie lost her life ..he calls at imlie's mobile just to listen to her voice...

At RM house there is Pooja for imlie...n a girl enters RM .. everyone gets shocked as she is none other than imlie..Badi maa is stunned that how can a person return from the dead....She speaks in English n then clear Hindi that her car broke down near their house n she needs help...

makes sense. I watch stuff on ITV on and off. there were years when I was very busy or just not interested.

so it is all ebbs and flows when it comes to tv. sometimes, there is good content. sometimes, you are better off watching documentaries and news.

Can I just say this is bullshit? ASR style 😭 Why is it only us Arylie fd that have to go through this! While all the other shows with worse trp is getting to be happy and romance all they want? Like why can’t there be changes where actor couples with fd gets to do more than one drama together? I am going to miss them so much 💔
