What was the need of that storyline know one would know.

in retrospect, i reckon the Jo track was merely a way to keep the show going while they were dealing with behind the scenes issues. like we were the most bhikaran during the Jo track as well. didn’t Aashiqana premiere sometime during that track?

We watch tv shows/movies to be entertained or as a form of escapism. In most Indian shows, evil win most of the time. Good only wins at the end. In our case, this will not even happen! But people still turn up to watch these shows. I did not watch Imlie pre Aryan's entry. But I read that the show used to fetch TRPs of around 3. My conclusion is that there is an audience for this negativity. How will society evolve or get better if we subject people to this type of entertainment?

For those of us who want change, we should stop tuning in to watch these shows. Look at Indian movies with supposedly big stars...the audience has grown tired of the content being shown and this is now reflected in the box office numbers.

I understand that the previous FD got heartbroken at the treatment of their story. Now it's our turn. Imlie 2.0 will have it's own set of audience and history will repeat. This happens because we let it happen. Honestly, the only reason I started watching Imlie is because of Fahmaan's portrayal of Aryan. I would be walking about while my mother was watching the show, and there was something about the intensity of Aryan which just pulled me in. I couldn't stand the character of AKT, and would tell my mum that Arylie should be the end game. The episode which made me watch all Arylie episodes is the one where Aryan tells Imlie 'main tumhe apne rang mein rang dunga... sar se paon tak , aise rang dunga tumhe ki koi past koi daag koi aur tumhe nazar tak nahi aayega'. What a powerful scene! Words can never do justice to that scene. I will carry that moment and characters with me forever.

But I am also taking a big lesson from this show. Stay away from Indian shows from channels like SP. I love romance, and I truly believe that no one does romance better than Indian shows. Unfortunately, the romance will always be accompanied by toxic characters or storylines. Exception will be some wonderful shows on Sony. This is my personal opinion.

The last bad experience I had with SP was MHRW. That show also ended abruptly, and the writers lost the plot along the way. Most shows can only give us about 100 good episodes. Then, the writers start destroying their own creation for the sake of TRP. So, as a customer, I have understood that these sellers cannot cater to my needs. I am content with Netflix, and the feel good movies and shows there.

Sony had brought some really good shows in the recent past. If you watch some of the shows you will feel that you have watched something good. Star plus has become remake plus since the lockdown phase. Colors and Zee are also as bad as star. Definitely there is audience for negativity. The numbers that the current no 2 show in BARC ratings fetches is proof enough.

Ok so something is amiss wad really happened in BT ...

Does Malini actually showed something to Aryan about imlie which is not shown or did imlie n Aryan had a fight....All of sudden how does one decides to leave just like that 🤔🤔

Maybe Malini is going to be exposed n CVs have decided something else... Aryan going to know about Cheeni will be the major point n he will stand by imlie

As Malini said her daughter died to Aryan in the intial leap episodes...this episode was made just like that ....no connection with wad the hell happened 🤔

Exactly, Malini needs to die if Arylie die. If justice will only be served in the next generation, when she's old and lived her days, what's the point?

It'll still be a win for her.

Also I was confused if they even did it or not 😂 and she is pregnant the next episode? Anyway I had to come to IF to know what the heck was going on …….but yeah idk what the makers drink or smoke because ain’t no way these people are of sound mind and writes and creates shit (no offense) like some dramas I hear about. I swear to god I thought ITV was better. Until I saw Sitara remaking every single Bengali Show ( am Bengali family watches all those “creative dramas” 🙄) like ffs people create original story. Without showing Sisters fighting for a man. Women loving cheating man. Women getting abused. Women just crying and going through abuse even after having jobs and education. Women coming back to shitty partners. Man marrying 50 times. Couples divorcing 50 times and then getting remarried. Couples separating for decades and then getting back together just to go through the same shitty things all over again. Man getting stuck between wife and mom. Man just staying home even though they have business and jobs to take care of….and like million other things.🤢

like Jesus wake up people and look around and see the world. It’s 2022 and people don’t want to watch meme content. Literally people makes fun of these dramas and it’s logic and writers and makers still recycle these. I really hope they start creating content that will make them proud and not memes 😆

Why is there no clap button?

Glad to see someone who feels the same way. Why don't they like to show empowered women? I loved that scene where Imlie walks out on her marriage. I don't understand women who put up with crap treatment.

On ITV, they will show self-sacrificing women or mahaan women.... and endless inner monologues just to depict their nonsensical thought process.

I wanted to see Imlie pursue her career. All I got were kitchen politics, useless baby tracks and now there is 'Cheeni is different'. But what about Imlie? Her husband asked her to leave and her life went on hold? No offense to Pagdandiya....but couldn't she be a journalist in a well-known company? Real life doesn't work like that. Real women are superheroes who overcome the obstacles life throws at them, get up and move on. No woman is defined just by the relationships in her life.

But I guess it will take time for ITV to catch up. Till then, they will keep on recycling the same stuff. I don't watch other shows but I know that they introduced baby tracks in almost all shows and also leaps. So much originality! What is the point of watching different shows then? Anyway, I will rant some more till the end of Arylie and then life will go on.

I love KRPKAB season 1 and YPNTKH. I can rewatch these shows and never get bored. They are shows where the story is the main character. IPKKND - I only watched Arshi scenes and they got me through a tough phase of my life. Now I will have Arylie scenes to remember. Aryan remains the best ITV ML I have come across.

I really wish ITV would go back to the old doordarshan days of having fixed number of episodes. so 6 months (150 eps) or a year (300 eps) or max year and half (450 eps). the channels should cap it at max 500 eps, then get another drama in with a different set of actors and production house.

it would boost creativity as well as spaces for new actors and audience will get more varied stories to watch. it wouldn't be abrupt and random arcs for the most part because the writers will know in advance that they have x number of episodes to tell their story. so stories will be complete and more tightly controlled with definite character growths.

because it is fixed number of episodes, you would get all sorts of writers who would be willing to come in and share. during doordarshan days, in regional channels, we had well known authors create dramas -- they were literally like watching a book come to life. that is how well written those dramas were. some of them were so innovative in terms of content.

when it is fixed length, fandoms also are not surprised by shows ending and know the time they have with the show. so the engagement is different.

maybe with more competition from web series, eventually the channels will see the wisdom of going back to fixed episode length.

I have many things to say about KRPKAB season 1 but we are not allowed to discuss about other shows here. If you are interested we can shift to the Chat club for further discussions.

This is the best possible solution to have a logical and consistent story telling. Here each track or each day story is twisted with all possible craps, just to drag the episodes. A fixed episode formula will help us viewers also to move on to other stories
