I think vivek's mom is also single mother/divorcee ya widow. Abhi tak uske papa ka koi detail nai deya hai viewers ko. Shaayad isi liye he understands indu & her struggles better

Ritesh kya karega i dont know but he does have that thought process no? That day he taunted kaamna for not actually being a mother when she behaved cruelly with zoon. So its definitely a possibility..
