I felt heartbroken and a deep sinking feeling after watching the episode, it was so sad, I did not see this coming, every time I see a ray of hope for Basit's happiness, he is pushed to newer and much more horrible grief and trauma. Seems like the writer's favorite child is Basit's trauma, if abandonment by mom and dad's death was not enough, the will and somewhat unwanted marriage and now the worst of all mother's untimely death that too with additional guilt of being responsible for it?
Seems like apart from Fahad no one really understand Basit's trauma, and how he is suffering, how easy was it for Ayesha to blame Basit disregarding his state of mind and also the fact that he is a patient of depression who is visibly under medication. How is Basit not going for therapy and nobody in his house cares? Like when Sadia knew about it, she never cared and not even Ayesha? If mental health was the least important fact then why did they show us this aspect of Basit and now why is everything out of the blue his fault? Ayesha hardly had 2-3 conversations with Sadia, and she is behaving like she is more hurting than Basit to a point of taunting him continuously? I did not see this coming and when it happened, I do not know how will i continue liking Ayesha, I was very close at putting her at mute.
Coming back to Basit, the theme of the show was his healing, and seems like the writer has all plans of making him more miserable before they give him some kind of happiness. The show is an eye opener for parents, no matter how rich they are, if they cannot love and appropriately bring their child up, we will have such messed up cases of trauma, guilt and depression everywhere, and in reality anybody at Basit's place can flip and may be attempt suicide, so all i want is to see him happy, everyone expects him to do sth, Sadia expected his maafi but never tried to come clean with him, Ayesha wants her rights as a wife but in the process treats him as if he is the most heartless man to exist, Qudsiya expects money, his father expected a good business man, and Basit only expected sanity which he definitely won't have.
Feroze's stardom does not justify the great acting prowess he has, the man deserves every appreciation, the performance was cold, too much saddening that I broke down when Basit started talking about his grief, and i do not think at present any other actor in Pakistan has the same range as FEROZE, he is incredible, Farhad, Mustajab and Basit, 3 totally different characters, back to back and owned them in style, freaking superstar he is.
