I keep saying this, I saw the movie and Ananya did what was asked. She didn't over act, her role is that of annoying wannabe, she did well, even with dance, she was okay but I am no judge there. But again her role is veryyyyyyyyyyy annoying.

I don't think that's what happened. The producer wanted Janhvi, but she has already booked dates (since she is doing her father's films) and so it went to Ananya, who's also not made a South debut. Janhvi is heavily booked, there's no way she could have squeezed it in.
