Why couldn't Rocky's family members recognise Rani?

Rani introduced herself as the bride's younger sister. But Rocky's parents and other relatives know how Pishachini looks like. They saw her twenty years ago when she was captured. Then why couldn't they recognise Pishachini?

I think only the grandpa saw her up close as she was being bound in the box and hence could recognize her... Else it was darkness and foggy going by how the scene was presented.
