Speaking of which - After watching all the versions of Drishyam, I am proud to declare that Venkatesh trumps everyone else in that role. Must say from a non actor to this, he came a long way.
yes surprisingly venkatesh was very good,
venkatesh under a good director is a great actor
i think his non acting was just his first few films he scaled pretty fast
not sure you or somebody said the same (was it theekthak?)
kamal i am unable to watch, he just seems so overdone after all the great performances he has done
and ajay just looks bored nowadays

I didn’t say it but completely agree about both Venky and Kamal. In fact they both acted in Eenaadu and ironically Venky was the one who made sense while Kamal just was unbearable.
Kamal started becoming unbearable long time back. Case in point: his last outing with Vishwanath Shubha Sankalpam.

yep, unbearable is the word, he went downhill the day directors who could dominated and instruct him left or themselves went downhill like singeetam srinivas rao, vishwanath, bharatan, balachander and even mani
what aamir is facing now is the same
except hardcore fans everybody sees it

I guess it happens to everyone who start letting their talent get to their heads and become self indulgent. For instance take NTR Sr. and how unbearable he became in the later part of his career.🤦♀️
The director and Hrithik brought their own variation to the role. If they had kept it cold and subtle like original then people would be complaining how it’s an exact copy and how boring and unimaginative it is…
They are not happy when there is difference 🤷🏻♀️

true, it happens to those mostly who are into all aspects of filmmaking and directors themselves
those who remain just actors escape it relatively like rajni, Amitabh and ANR (somewhat, did some good mature roles) since they continue listening to the director
SRK may go same route
I havent seen the original even though its available in hindi dub version so I am looking forward to this one. I have heard Vijay is a great actor but I havent seen any of his movies so for me whatever Hrithik and team for Hindi film presents will be a fresh take and I would like to keep it that way.
That being said I would like to watch some of Vijay's best work so if you all can recommend me the movies that are available in dubbed hindi version then I will give it a shot.
