CHAPTER 110:

Rano was on cloud nine; she felt like her feet were not touching the ground and that she was just floating around. It was now a quarter to 5 as Rano entered the gates of the Walia House. She knew that she had a silly grin on her face.

Massi and Dadi had gone to another neighbors house for some kind of pooja again. The three couples had decided to stay home since and watch a movie. It was a Friday night, but Bani was in no condition to go outside, well according to Jai any way. If he had his way, he would keep Bani on 100% bed rest 24/7. Bani didn't argue with him too much, because as badly as she did want to go out to the movies and dinner, she knew it was better for her to stay home and rest; it was good for her and the baby. They were all sitting in the living room, they guys had laid out the caram board on the table while the girls grabbed some snacks and drinks. The guys had the caram board out because the movie the girls had chosen was 'The Notebook', a chick flick. The guys already knew how the night was going to go. First the girls would gush over how cute Ryan Gosling was, then they would ooh and aww over how cute the couple looked, then they would curse out the mother for ruining their lives, and then curse out the girl for getting engaged to another man, then clap when Ryan returned, and scream out in joy when she chose him over her fianc'love conquers all. They girls would be in a heap of tears, happy and sad since the love birds die. The guys weren't interested in that, so they pulled out the caram board.

The girls brought out sodas, chai, pakoras, samosas and popcorn, Sahil was setting up the DVD. They were just about to sit down and watch the movie when a singing and grinning-like-a-fool Rano walked in.

Everyone looked at her like she had lost her mind, but they were smiling because they were happy to see Rano so happy. Rano threw her purse, and her coat in two directions. Her purse landed on the floor with a thud, while her coat landed nicely on Aditya's head. She went up to Bani and took her by the hands and began dancing with her.

Letting Bani go, and making sure she was sitting comfortably, she grabbed both Jigyasa and Anu, each by one hand. Jigyasa tried to balance the pakoras in her other hand, Anu tried to balance the water bottle she had as Rano spun them both and continued to sing. The guys just looked at her like she was possessed or something.

Rano ended by climbing up on the couch, after she had kicked her heels off, then she stood with both arms held high and out stretched. After she had stopped the gang burst into laughter.

J- Kya baath hai saali-ji? Aaaj aap bohot kush nazar aa rahe hai.

R- Jiju jiju jiju, woh issi liyeh kyun ke main aa itna kush hoon (she stretched out her arms as she climbed down the couch)

Adi- Aacha, hum bhi toh sunne ke tum itna kush kyun ho. (he mimicked Rano's hand gesture)

R- Sorry Jiju, yeh main aapko abhi nahin bata sakti'(he made a face) fikar not, jaldi paata chal jayega!

Jig- Hume bhi nahin bataogi?

R- Aare Di, aap logoon ko batane ke liyeh hi toh ghaar jaldi aagayi hoon.

A- Aacha, bol kya baath hai.

R- Yahaan nahin, upar chaliyeh, I promise, you wont regret! (she winked)

Jig- Oh this is going to be good'Bani chal'(Bani didn't respond)

A- Bani chal naa. (still nothing so Anu had to hit Bani on the shoulder) Bani ut! Yeh popcorn chod, baad mein khaana. (she began to drag her up)

B- Lekin, meri caramel popcorn (she pouted)

Jig- Aacha baba, main lekar aati hoon, tu baas upar chal!

The girls headed up leaving the guys confused and intrigued as to what they were going to talk about. They were about to get up and follow when Rano turned back and stopped them.

R- Sorry no Jiju's allowed! Aap log bait jaiyeh.

The guys sat back down as the girls giggled as they went up the stairs. They all piled into Rano's room and settled down on her bed, Bani with her caramel popcorn.

Jig- Ok, aab baata, what has you grinning like a baboon!?

R- Oh, Di, you wont believe. It! (she said as she twrilled)

A- Ok, you are really gone. Jigyasa ne abhi tujhe 'baboon' bulaiya aur tune kuch nahin kaha!

R- I don't have time for such trivial things now. Haila, guess what, guess what, guess what!!! (she jumped up and down)

B- Aab tu kuch batayegi ya nahin, humare paas time nahin hai guess karne ke liyeh. 'The Notebook' is waiting for us.

R- Didi, mere news sunne ke baad, aapko 'Notebook' ka khayal bhi nahin rahega.

A- Rano, spit it out already.

R- Ranveer loves me!

'WHAT?!' the three girls yelled.

A- Kaab?

Jig- Kaise?

B- Popcorn'mera matlab hai, kahaan?

R- Omg, usse aaj mujhe dinner ke liyeh invite kiya hai.

Jig- Like a date?

R- Obviously Di, a date. Mujhe toh pehla laga tha ke woh jokes maar raha hai, lekin ussne bataya ke woh serious hai.

B- Lekin, how'yeh saab itne achanak kaise hogaya?

Rano explained how Ranveer had asked her out to dinner but he was sweating like a hog. When she joked about him asking her on a date, he said he was serious, and had never been more serious in his life. She told them about how he had feelings for her and what not. She had questioned him on why he had called her is sister, he became confused and then he said 'I love you Rano'.

R- Uske baad I hugged him and'kiss bhi kiya. (she blushed)

'KYA?!'

B- Kiss tak poouch gaya! Haila.

Jig- Haye, Rano is a smooth operator.

R- Di, stop it. (blushing)

A- Ok aab yeh bata ke dinner kaab hai, I mean 'date'.

R- Aaj hi hai, woh aa rahe hai mujhe pick up karne 8 baje.

B- Wow, Ranveer bhi 'smooth operator' hai! Wah, kya jodi hai.

Jig- (hugged Rano) I'm so happy for you Rano, tu nahin jaanti.

A- Main bhi, tujeh itna kush dekh kaar mujeh bhi kushi ho rahi hai.

B- Me too (she said as she choked up)

R- (hugged Bani) Aare Didi, aap roh kyun rahe hai'

B- Stupid hormones! (she said as she wiped the tears) Vaise bhi, yeh kushi ki asoon hai.

R- Ok, now I need a favor from you three.

Jig- Haan bol, tere liyeh jaan bhi hazir hai.

R- Jaan nahin chahiyeh, lekin'.

B- Aare tu hesitate kyun kaar rahi hai, bol naa.

R- Umm'main chati hoon ke main jiju's ko bata kar jaoon date paar.

A- What the hell? Why? Maarne ka irada hai kya?

R- Di, aaisi baath nahin hai. Jiju's ne mere liyeh kitna kiya hai. Aab main itni badi kadam leh rahi hoon aapni zindagi mein, I know Ranveer is it for me, toh'main yeh saab chori chupe nahin karna chati.

B- Baath toh teri sahi hai, good luck on telling your jiju's.

Jig- Yeah, theeno ka sar phat jayega!

A- We should get the video camera out! (the girls laughed)

R- Err'this is where my favor comes in'

Jig- Huh?

R- Woh kya hai naa ke'I want you to tell them.

'What?! NO!' the girls yelled together.

Jig- Lagta hai ke tera dimag saach mein phir gaya!

A- Hum unko bataien ke tu Ranveer ke saath date paar jaa rahi hai'no way!

R- Di, come on'mujeh abhi tayar hona hai. I have no idea what to wear, I have to shower, do my hair'mere paas waqt hi kahaan. Vaise bhi, I want to be alive to go on my date.

Jig- Uff..tik hai'we will do it.

B- Haan haan, chalo'abhi jaate hai.

A- Wah Bani, badi himat dikha rahi ho.

B- Woh issi liyeh kyun ke main jaanti hoon ke koi mujhse kuch nahin kahega. Meri halat toh dekho, (she rubbed her big belly) koi mujhe dante ga kya..nahin naa.

Jig- Good point, Bani will do the talking.

B- Ok, chalo'Rano tu tayar hojaa'hum un theeno ko sambal the hai. Now help me up.

Rano went over to help Bani up and gave her a big hug. The girls each went to their rooms to just fix their make up a bit, look prettier, they needed all the help they could get. They retouched their lip gloss and eye liner and what not. They met at the top landing and took deep breaths before climbing down the stairs. The guys quickly saw them and began whistling.

J- Wah, wah'kya baath hai. Tum theeno kahin bahar jaa rahe ho?

B- Nahin toh, baas aaise hi'.maan kiya'we wanted to look pretty.

Adi- Well you all look gorgeous.

S- Yeah yeah whatever'Rano ne kya kahaa?

B- Err'

J- Kya hai, anything serious'

Jig- Woh'err'humein aap logoon ke saath kuch batein karni hai.

The girls sat down on the long sofa, while the guys all stopped doing what they were doing and looked at them with worried faces.

B- Woh, Rano'umm

J- Kya hai Bani?

A- Jiju, woh ek ladka hai'

Adi- Ladka!? Kaab, aaj toh koi ladka aaya hi nahin. Sahil zaara schedule check kaar naa.

Jig- Aare, woh appointment lekar nahin aaye.

J- Ok, already minus points.

B- Aap humari baath toh sun lijiyeh pehle.

J- Ok, bolo'

Jig- Ladka perfect hai.

B- Woh bohot aacha hai, he is funny and cute and adorable.

J- Toh, so are clowns'what is your point?

Jig- Uff, Bhaia'khabi toh serious hua karo.Yeh koi clown nahin hai, ladka hai.

A- Haan, height 6'2' *yeah my Ranveer is tall and dreamy*

S- Ok

Jig- Aapna well established business bhi hai. Aapne aap hi business mein aga bhada hai, baap ka paise nahin hai.

Adi- Good.

B- Ladkiyoon ka bohot izat kaarta hai, very respectful'especially towards Rano.

J- Very good.

Jig- Koi mange nahin hai humse, baas ladki chahiyeh.

A- Haan, aagar ladka aaisa ho, toh phir'I think it is ok to let Rano go out on a few dates'to get to know him.

J- Aagar ladka aaisa hi ho then its fine.

S- Sounds too good to be true, if you ask me.

A- No one asked you!

Adi- Haan, lekin ladka kaun hai? Aagar ladka saacha hai, then whats the problem?

Jig- Woh, ladke ko tum jaante ho.

Adi- Main jaanta hoon?

B- Hum saab jaante hai.

J- Ok, kaun hai?

'Ranveer' the girls yelled out together.

S- Ranveer'umm'naam kahin suna hai'jaani pehchani si hai'

A- Uff (she smacked her head)

Adi- Haan, it sounds so familiar.

J- Doesn't it'but from where.

Jig- Oh dear lord'lagta hai ke Sahil Bhaia ki bimari bhi in dono ko lag gaya hai.

J- What do you mean by that?

A- Aare jiju, use that Walia brain of yours! Ranveer'Ran-Vee-R'Ranveer Bali (that is his last name now, I don't remember what I had put..lol)

Adi- Ranveer Bali, Ranveer Bali'where have I heard that name.

The girls looked at each other and almost wanted to cry at their stupidity. The guys tried to think of who it could be, but in the mean time as they thought, they went back to playing caram; Adi took a sip of soda, Jai was aiming his next hit and Sahil took a bite of samosas. The girls got impatiend, especially Bani after a minute.

B- Oh for the love of God.

Jig- It's Ranveer Bali, your Ranveer Bali'jiske saath aap log kaam karte hai, joh aapka dost bhi hai!

When they said this, Adi chocked and had soda coming out of his nose, Jai hit the disk but it went flying and hit Sahil on the forehead, who was already chocking on his samosas.

'What!?' they all yelled.

J- Ranveer Bali, our Ranveer Bali?

B- Ji

S- Woh hi jo humare saath office mein kaam karta hai?

A- Yes

Adi- Woh hi jiske saath humara contract hai, merger hua hai?

Jig- Haan baba'the one and only Ranveer Bali.

(the guys all stood up and began pacing)

J- Nahin yeh nahin hosakta.

B- Kyun? Aap ke check list ke mutabik he is perfect.

S- Phir bhi Bhabi'

A- Kya 'phir bhi''no 'phir bhi'!

Jig- Saabse badi baath yeh hai ke Ranveer Rano ko bohot pasant karta hai.

Adi- Besharam kahin ka, humare is office mein humare saath ghaddari!

S- Chodunga nahin mein usse. Rano pe line marta hai!

A- Aare'

Adi- Issi liyeh woh humesha humare ghaar pe aata hai.

J- Kuch din pehle toh keh rahe the ke woh kissi se pyaar karta hai, aur aab he likes Rano.

B- Uff, aab saab shant hojaieyh.

J- Shant! Are you jocking?

Adi- Joh bhi ho, main jaanta hoon ke Rano usse pasand nahin karti. Aare abhi abhi toh woh ek daard se guzra hai. She wont go for it.

Jig- Aditya sahib! Check again. Rano bhi Ranveer ko pasand karti hai and woh dono aaj hi date paar ja rahe hai. Ranveer 8 baje aa raha hai usse pick up karne.

'WHAT?!' they all yelled

J- Nahin aaisa nahin hoga'main hone nahin dunga.

S- We will stop Rano.

Jigs- Dekhte hai'how you will stop Rano.

The girls began watching the movie while the guys continued to pace back and forth. It was nearly 7pm when Rano came down. She was in her robe, with her hair in curlers, humming away, but still cautious about her jiju's.

J- Rano!

R- Ji jiju?

Adi- Dekho, tum kissi date vate paar nahin jaa rahe ho Ranveer ke saath.

R- Lekin kyun Jiju'

S- Baas humne keh diya, toh baas'aab koi behes nahin.

(Rano winked at the girls who watched her with interest)

R- Tik hai jiju, aagar aap nahin chate ke main jaaoun date paar, toh main nahin jaungi.

J- Good! What did I say?! Ha ha'in your face! (he said as he did a small victory dance.)

R- Mujhe laga tha ke mere jiju's mere kushi ke liyeh kuch bhi karsate hai, lekin yahaan toh baath hi kuch alag hai. (she frowned; the guys stopped celebrating)

S- Kya matlab?

R- Nahin'kuch nahin.

Adi- Kya teri kushi issi mein hai ke tu dinner paar jaiyeh?

(Rano shook her head)

J- Ranveer ke saath?

(she shook her head again)

S- Uff, this is not right!

J- Tik hai, jaa'

R- Yes! Thank you jiju's! (she said as she hugged them as the girl laughed)

Rano went to grab a handful of pop corn from Bani's bowl. When she went up to the girls she winked and whispered, 'want to see more fun' then she turned to the guys and spoke loudly.

R- You know Didi, aaj office mein Ranveer aapna coat utar diya tha, bohot garmi thi.

Jig- Haan, garmi toh thi hi, upper se AC bhi down hai.

R- Haan, lekin maine kuch notice kiya hai.

B- Kya?

R- Ranveer works out! His biceps'haye'aapne khabi motives kiya hai?

(the guys looked at full attention now'almost like a rabbit sensing a lion close by)

A- Haan, main eek baar notice ki thi'wow'

S- Sharam nahin aati, aapni paati yahaan baita hai aur tum dusre mard ke baat kaar rahe ho?!

A- Iss mein sharam kaise aagaya'looking never hurt any one! (she winked)

R- Di, I cant wait to get him to take is coat off at dinner.

J- Nahin! Koi coat nahin utarega! Ranveer toh bilkul nahin!!!

R- Oh Jiju, don't be such a prude'

A- Yes Jiju, don't be spoil sprot.

Jig- Aare Rano tu jaa na, tayar hoja'Ranveer aata hi hoga.

R- Oh shit!

Rano ran upstairs to get dressed followed by Jigyasa, Anu and a slow moving Bani. They were all helping her get ready when Jigyasa glanced at the clock, it was 7:45pm and Rano was still not ready. Jigyasa decided to check on the guys, and she found them discussing something, Ranveer she was sure. She called to them from upstairs.

Jig- Suniyeh Mr. Jiju's! Ranveer abhi aata hoga, let him in. Aur haan, usse pareshan maat kaarna. I'm sure ke bechara already bohot pareshan hai tum theeno ke vaje se.

Jigyasa left the guys to themselves and went back to Rano's room.

Ranveer's hands were sweating, his heart was racing and he felt like he was about to pass out; not because it was his first date with Rano, but because he knew that the three jiju's were waiting for him. Only God could save him from their wrath. As Ranveer rang the door bell and waited to be let inside, he said a prayer'hell'he said like 4 prayers. When the door opened and he walked in he say the three Jiju's sitting on the couch, their legs crossed, their faces mad.

J- Aaiyeh Mr. Bali.

Ranv- He he'(his nervous laugh)

Adi- Tumne toh hume bohot ullu banaya.

Ranv- Nahin woh'

S- Shh'aab hum bolenge aur aap sunenge!

Ranv- Err'

(the guys got up)

J- Dekho Ranveer, tum jaante ho ke hum Rano se kitna pyaar karte hai.

Ranv- Ji'

Adi- Aagar Rano ko kuch bhi hua, any pain at all'toh humse bura koi nahin hoga.

Ranv- Ji'I would never

S- I said hush!

J- Haan, toh'she had better be happy!

(Ranveer shook his head)

Adi- Haan, there are some guide lines for the dinner.

S- Yes, no playing footsies, no hands on the table, no touching her hand romantically, no holding hands at all, no hugging'definitely no kissing!

J- She should be home by 11pm no later!

Adi- Got it!

(Ranveer didn't say anything)

S- What, cat got your tongue?! Say something!?

Ranv- You said not to talk'

J- Oh, we got a smart ass!

Ranv- No'i'but'you'he...(he gave up)'got it.

J- Good.

(the guys stepped back)

Ranv- Thodi garmi hia naa andar? (he was taking off his coat)

'NO!' the three guys yelled, causing Ranveer to almost fall back.

Adi- The most important rule for this dinner'.

J- Kuch bhi hojayeh, tum yeh coat nahin utar sakte.

Ranv- Huh? Lekin kyun?

Adi- Baas nahin utar sakte!

'Oh Ranveer tum aagaye.' The guys all looked up to see the three girls coming down. Ranveer tried to see if Rano was with them but she wasn't. When he looked back the guys were glaring at him.

Jig- Looking good Ranveer.

A- Very sharp.

B- Haye'so cute (she said as she squeezed his cheeks)

Ranv- You three look gorgeous, as usual.

(the guys rolled their eyes as the girls blushed a bit)

B- Rano abhi aati hogi, last minute touches.

Jig- Tum aao, humare saath baito.

Ranveer could kiss Jigyasa for taking him away from the guys. He quickly followed the girls and sat on the couch as they began to chat. Ranveer could feel the guys gaze on him, but he didn't look at them once.

Jig- Loh, Rano aagayi.

Everyone looked towards the stairs to see a beautifully bushing Rano. All the guys jaws dropped when they saw Rano; Ranveer was drooling and the jiju's wanted to run and smack Ranveer for staring. Rano looked gorgeours in her gold dress'

The first thing that Ranveer noticed other than the fact that Rano looked gorgeous, was the fact that the bracelet he had given her, was no back on her wrist. Ranveer and Rano were staring at each other but were brought back to reality by Bani.

B- So Ranveer ji, aap iss date paar humari behen ko kahaan lekar jaa rahe hai?

A- Jaaga aachi honi chahiyeh, aur special bhi.

Jig- Haan bilkul!

Ranv- Actually, maine Golden Gate mein reservation kiya hai.

A- Oh, Golden Gate kyun?

Ranv- Woh'Thai Rano ki favorite food hai, aur mujhe yaad hai ke Rano ne ek baar kaha tha ke usse wahaan jaane ka bohot maan hai. Woh nahin jaati kyun ki'kyun ki'it's a couples place. Issi liyeh'

(the guys glared at him like they were going to eat him)

B- Haye'so sweet'kissi ki nazar naa lage. (she said it loud so the guys could hear)

Jig- Ok, aab tum log jaao, have fun'I don't want u home until at least 1am.

'What?!' the guys yelled.

Ranv- Jai ne kahaa ke 11'

B- Aare don't mind him'main keh rahi hoon, take your time'no problem. Aagar zyada der hojayeh, baas ek phone call kardena. But no all night ok'

Ranv- Of course Bhabi.

Rano and Ranveer walked towards the gate where the three jiju's were standing. Rano said buy to the girls and came too.

J- Rano'tumne aapni jacket nahin li.

R- Jacket kyun?

Adi- Aare tand paar sakti hai.

R- No jij, no tension'Ranveer hai naa..i mean'shawl hai naa.

(the girls giggled as the guys nearly swallowed their tougues)

J-(whispered to Ranveer) Remember, jacket nahin utarna. I have my eyes on you'always'Jai Walia hoon.

The family waved bye to Ranveer and Rano. The girls cheered as Ranveer opened the door for Rano and made sure she got in carefully; the guys almost gagged. There were mixed emotions, the girls were ecstatic, and the guys were about to beat the wall. The girls were planning on what they would do for Rano's wedding, already, and the guys'well the guys were thinking about how they could get to Golden Gate restaurant'..
