Tamil Nadu and Korea : Princess Sembavalam

Just came across this blog which says the Indian princess who had travelled to Korea and married Kim Suro was from Tamil Nadu. This was new info to me coz the wide belief is that Indian princess was from Ayodhya. Even SK govt recognizes Ayodhya as her birth place and there are 100s of Koreans who visit ayodhya every year .

But many of things mentioned in this journal makes more sense that she actually is from Tamil Nadu and not Ayodhya. Found it quite interesting to read so sharing it here.

Princess is still one of the most controversial people to ever exist, for Korean historians 😆😆

But the good outcome of all this is that they are using her questionable background to form good diplomatic relations between India and Korea.

As fro the princesses, her being from Ayodhya is news to me. I have always known her to be from Tamil Nadu, India. Unless Ayuta and Ayodhya are the same places?? Then I don't know. Don't know much about India or her history.

ya it seems some korean historian thought Ayuta kingdom (korean name) is ayodhya based on phonetic similarity. But as this journal says old name of ayodhya was saket so its not possible . this princess carried symbol of tamil kingdom when she arrived in korea that is “twin fish”and “trident” .. so I do think she was from Tamil nadu . Ayuta is in Korea..i thought its from Thailand...

no Ayuta is not in korea, the korean texts mentions Ayuta as her kingdom
