How is a soul supposed to find peace if it is being dragged through every trivial pile of crap that is happening at the movies? I don't think someone who loved the movies and suffered scrutiny due to movies not performing desirably at the box office would find any kind of peace in boycott culture. Why are SSR fans his own worst enemies?

I mean even a lesser known actor like SSR got 1cr on the first day. Big directors like Anurag Kashyap haven’t even managed 75 lakhs with a talented actress like Taapsee. Tsk. What a shame. SSR was not a sadist, nor do I agree with the boycott hashtags but there is definitely some poetic justice here. SSR would plead with people to watch his movies. His own words, I have no Godfather, if you don’t watch my movies, they will throw me out. Aaj kal Bollywood mein toh Godfather, Godmother, sabki lagi padi hai. The audience has virtually thrown everyone out.

I genuinely think you haven’t fully understood the shift that took place. These weren’t SSR fans. As someone rightfully posted, even a movie praised all round only opened to 1cr. But when a man commits suicide, especially one that was introverted, looked upon as an outsider, had zero filmy connections, grinded from TV and successfully moved to movies which rarely happens, as someone that was constantly made fun of in KwK by many of his industry colleagues, when awful PR articles were written about him, then you might understand why he gained so many “fans” overnight, even if it was sadly after his departure. The amount of people that started referring to Bollywood as trash, that begin to strongly dislike the flagbearers of nepotism are not just your 1% of India that use Twitter to boycott.

AND LOOK... who was promoting #Sonchiriya on Twitter... posting the trailer and "Congratulations"... on February 9th 2019 - 3 weeks before release...

I doubt the most pressing thing on SSR's mind at the time or now for his soul is Bollywood. Compared to many others he still got a good deal, mental health struggles do not have to be linked to career. His entire death has been turned into witch hunt for blaming women for men's actions + bizarre drug busts for cannabis + disgusting analysis of his life even dead body at the time of his demise.
