Vinu being adopted, gives me some sukoon that the CNs are not thinking that, hamare se chiragh le jana chahti thi na, bhagwan bhi nahi chahta tha. Usse hi hamare rasthe se hata diya.
But why for adopted child give same name Vinu? Is it not a disrecpect?

And my list starts with VRS. No one volunteers to take retirement unless they have strong reason. He never bothered to know any of those and publicly put his Guru on the spot to postpone his retirement. It is not Guru-shishya parampara, it was second guessing or insulting your Guru's judgement. That was his life altering bad decision for his fav Guru's dearest daughter. If I were Sai, I would throw this on his face, this is more his fault than the shooting itself.
Don't know how he lived before Nasik. In 2 days yoga retreat he almost proposed and made an "impressionable" girl feel that he is her eternal love. He started all the trouble and of course continued too giving her hope after hope that too to an obsessive personality. When I saw first time the scene where she gives him the rose and has tears in her eyes. He asks her and she says because I did not blink (ie I dont want to miss even a second of not seeing you). My reaction was hah, aisa kaun kartha hai. The first sign of her obsession.
Anyway, there are lot of things that have been swept under the rug. All have to come out. No better time than in this sequence.
