I didn’t know who besides the industry delusions believe that movies are failing because of boycott. If that was the case then Gangu also would have failed, Alia is the biggest product of nepotism. Movies are failing because ticket prices are high, post pandamic people are still recovering financially. People can watch better things from comfort of their homes, so unless movie is good, and has good reviews, no one is going to pay money and put themselves at risk of getting Covid.

bollywood Do better, make better movies. No other secret to bringing audience back to theaters.

* Helps create buzz for a movie... many movies worked because of boycott buzz

* Helps a disaster movie makers/hero save face (Boycott ke liye film nahin chali, nahin toh I have huge BO pull)

* Boosts boycotters' ego when the film doesn't work.
