I loved reading everyone's viewpoints.
Let me just say I hated the 'almost slap' bit. I wish they would have shown him anger some other way. I wish they had not shown this. It made me so upset. Ayesha's reaction in that instant was so heartbreaking. I really felt for her.
Besides that, I loved both episodes. For me the two episode were all about progress. There were so many moments. When Basit gives her the money this time, he acknowledges that it hurts her ego...unlike the last time he gave her money. He has realized that. When he finds her reading the letter, he talked to her very calmly without getting mad or raising his voice....unlike the envelop inssue. When Basit brings her back from the interview, he talks to her very calmly. He explains his perspective very well....unlike the time he fired her from his office. That time he was a bit more distant emotionally. What I like is that Ayesha expresses her feelings to Basit....when he hurts her, what hurts her, how she feels restricted in the house. Basit has started to reflect upon these. I think this will continue. I loved the 'ke me pyaar kasrta' (my favourite part of the ost) where he reflects on what she said. This is the second time they played it. Basit's first conversation with qudsiya in ep 13 was so different from the second one. I thought that was another progress. During the first one, he looked like he just wanted to get it over with and he rushed her as well. Lol he didn't even say hello. He simply waited for her to say whatever she wanted. He was polite during the second one. ]The fact that he went there was another progress. There was no way Basit would've gone to that house for Zoya's rishta few episodes back. Even if Ayesha had asked or requested, he would've simply said I am busy. He went without Ayesha asking him. I guess he went because he was guilty for the almost slap and reflecting about Ayesha. He is still working on himself and progressing. In the next episode we will get the cake cutting scene. I thought it would be much later when they are in love because Basit was smiling for the first time in the show. I am assuming that we will see more progress in their relation seeing their smiling faces.
It's so interesting that everyone notices different things/details in the same scene. Did anyone notice Basit called Ayesha 'tum' for the first time. I has always been 'aap' which felt very formal because he called her that even when she was an employee. I am not sure if he will go back to 'aap' or if this is another progress....that he doesn't feel so formal with her.
