But I think this reveals something about Basit's character. Basit had gotten very angry at that and had replied that he was scared of no one. I think judging by the promo this aspect of Basit will be explored in the next episode.

Also I really appreciated the fact that Ayesha leaves with the intention of staying with her mum and sisters for a while. Unfortunately her family does not support her in this---a very common thing. However, one thing she will probably not be scared of from now on....the possibility of Basit handing her divorce papers. I liked it when her mother tried to scare her by saying what will happen if Basit leaves her and Ayesha says, so let him leave me.

Todays' double dose really took us to such heights and then delivered some sucker punches. Basit's arrogance came out in full force today. But there within that arrogance also lay the growing sense of awareness of Ayesha's feelings and presence in his life. He notices when his words hurt her after she returns from the dinner with Fahad. He realises that his actions might have hurt her the morning after their conversation in the study. When she leaves after that horrible moment of his raising his hand, he remembers her words and you can see him thinking about it, reflecting on it. Whenever she is in the room, you can see that his attention is on her. But he is still too proud to apologise to her. He is a proud man who is used to getting his way in everything. But that is not how one is successful when it comes to love.

I know Feroze Khan is doing a phenomenal job portraying all the shades of emotions that Basit is grappling with. However Ushna Shah should also be commended for bringing Ayesha to life. Not a single moment do you feel as if Ayesha's behaviour is unnatural. From the small moments of surprises, to the pain of this cold marriage, to the frustrated anger of being so powerless before Basit's enormous wealth and influence.

I too love the Bano and Ayesha bond. This is how sisters are❤️ Really hope Bano is amazing at her job and she gains the respect of Basit and they form a friendly bond.

I realised one small thing - Basit called Qudsia as "amma". Did anyone else notice😳

I missed it the first time around and I was only rewatching to hear that lovely car convo again... But I loved this little detail. I think this is the first time he has addressed ayesha's mom as his mom too.

yes Basit is a spoilt brat indeed.. smug arrogant looks at times.. when Amir came to see Zoya with his parents, Basit did walk in with attitude like he is indeed the man in that house. Poor Zoya... her jiju spoilt it for her 😆

the hand holding in public only to keep up appearances... Basit Basit Basit... I can understand his clarifications to her and I can appreciate it that she did not cause a scene (I think I would... I am a dramaqueen and Basit would have smacked me right there and then and I would have sued his......)

Till now Basit has only taken and has not given up anything for Ayesha except his room and double bed.. oh yeah.. and his money... what about your precious time Basit... time, attention, friendship/love.. What he wanted from his mom, it is like he is not able to give that to his wife or perhaps anyone but his dad and friend. No empathy for Kareem.. poor boy..

is this post becoming a bit too much anti-Basit? not my intention.. many things I understand and/or love. but would I accept it? do we approve of the behavior even if we can clarify it?

well let me end then with a positive note: that cheeky smile of victory and breakthrough when Ayesha got out of the car to come sit in the front.. 😆 ❤️ I could fall in love with him.. yepp.. I could.. very easily..

hahahaha!! Can you imagine any other girl putting up with Basit?! Even Ayesha would have left if she could have. But yes, our pretty boy has some charm. You really get the dynamics between those two so well.

I like how you say would we approve of the behaviour even if we understand where it is coming from. I am okay watching it in a tv drama because it creates angst. But maybe it is not so easy to put up with had I seen such behaviour in real life.

My heart bleeds for Kareem! Poor fellow...barely caught a glimpse of his home and had to return to Basit Sir! 😆

Did I tell you... I saw comments in youtube about the shocking scene of the almost slap.. I am shocked that people are writing that he should have slapped her. That Ayesha deserves it. why is she complicating things.. he gives her money... he works hard etc etc. I cannot accept such comments and behaviour actually.. She has a right to be who she is, become better and be an equal partner. She is not a charity case once should pitty and through a few cents to her to keep her happy. buy her a whole new wardrobe (which I am not a huge fan off). I mean, where is her own identity in all of this?

She did say the word "talaaq" (divorce) and that is when he lost it. And you are so right...he needs to rethink his understanding of what he means when he says he will maintain their relationship. The conversation they had in the car while returning from Ayesha's maternal home was interesting. Basit is trying to understand what Ayesha gets from these different relationships she has with her family members. He is trying to understand what she finds in these relationships since then it will be easier for him to understand what she wants from the relationship that exists between him and Ayesha as well.

As for the youtube comments....gaaaaaah!!! I don't get people and their love for toxic masculinity. Can only tell you not to let yourself get drawn into arguments with people who think like that. It is our society and culture that is responsible for people thinking like that. Women are conditioned from a very early age to interpret abuse as affection. Ayesha's behaviour to them becomes "she is acting difficult". Ayesha has every right to mourn over losing all control over her life. The material comforts mean little to her. Perhaps had Zoya been in her place, Zoya would have been happy with all the luxuries. Ayesha never cared for dresses so a wardrobe full of new ones mean little to her. The thing she wants above everything else is respect and is that really too much to ask? Isn't that what every woman wants after all...to be a partner to her husband, a comrade and lover rather than someone he worships as a goddess, imprisoning her on a pedestal or treats as his slave?

Girl, I thought of that as well!! Ayesha's mom was giving me Mrs Bennet vibes from an early stage...I was thinking suppose Mr Bennet had died and due to the entailment the Bennet family had to leave the Longbourn estate, then Mrs. Bennet would have behaved like Qudsia, narrowminded and foolish. And Ayesha and Bano give major Elizabeth and Jane vibes. Zoya is Lydia. So you think Basit will act as a Mr. Darcy? Let us hope so... I wouldn't mind that development...😆

Basit has a firm hold over Ayesha. Whether this is only physically, as in to keep her from walking out of his life, out of his loneliness, desperation or him being possesive and traditional thoughts, I am not sure.
I think that it is more so emotional. Basit has a hold over her emotionally and the other way around. Look at the facial expressions, the intensity. Their is passion in the way he looks at her and holds her. I even like to go bit further (exaggerated perhaps).. He holds her from right to left, left is where the heart is. It is almost he is appealing to her heart to stay with him and dont ever leave him. he will protect her and her heart.
Her facial expressions, we see her emotions. Intens and sad. but then.. it almost looks like a determination that she knows what she will do.. she will stay.. by the looks of her hand placed on him. she does not push him away... it gives me the feeling that she too will protect and reassure him that she will not leave (in the end). the way she stand in front of him, it could also be that she is defending or protecting him and he is protecting her in his turn.. but.... I should stop looking at the pic now which I have enlarged haha LOL

The picture is blurry which is either just a hip thing to do, or it tells us that the things are not as it seems.. Either the happy-happy smile is real and they give us a sneak-peek into the future or their happy faces are masks hiding what actually is going on..

Basit assumes only but has no idea.. he does not ask Sadia or starts a deeper conversation with her. Of course he is hurt so badly, he also has a right to ask his questions, to speak his mind but at the moment he is assuming that she left and had a fabulous life without him and his dad. Sadia looks tired and sometimes even a bit old.. I mean to say, in her facial expressions I see mostly pain. Maybe it will turn out that she did Basit a favor. Where is this man she left his dad for? Does she have a whole new family? We know so little of her and what secrets she has.

So after the attack, she cannot die.. not yet.. she needs to recover and they both need to heal.. and I need to know the full story/background 😆

@Bold I think in the promo there is a point where Ayesha tells Sadia that Basit does not realise that his words hurt the women around in him. That women too have hearts. Basit is so caught up with his own hurt and pain (totally justified) that he does not realise that his mother is also human and capable of making mistakes as well as regretting the mistakes made.

I really would love to see Basit and Sadia resolve this bitterness that lies between them and move on. But I am keeping myself prepared for alternates as well!
