Exactly!! He crossed a major line in that moment. I wish the writer and director had thought of some other way for him to let out his anger. But one good thing was that moment was filmed as a very very scary moment. My heart literally trembled.

I don't want to come across as justifying violence...and this scene of Ayesha feeling threatened needs to be discussed with great sensitivity. But I think this reveals something about Basit's character. He has grown up in a way that had really left him with no room for considering the feelings of others... this came out once before when Fahad had told him after Basit had proposed to Soha that at least you have surrendered before a woman and that he shouldn't be scared of being rejected. Basit had gotten very angry at that and had replied that he was scared of no one. I think judging by the promo this aspect of Basit will be explored in the next episode.

Also I really appreciated the fact that Ayesha leaves with the intention of staying with her mum and sisters for a while. Unfortunately her family does not support her in this---a very common thing. However, one thing she will probably not be scared of from now on....the possibility of Basit handing her divorce papers. I liked it when her mother tried to scare her by saying what will happen if Basit leaves her and Ayesha says, so let him leave me.

Todays' double dose really took us to such heights and then delivered some sucker punches. Basit's arrogance came out in full force today. But there within that arrogance also lay the growing sense of awareness of Ayesha's feelings and presence in his life. He notices when his words hurt her after she returns from the dinner with Fahad. He realises that his actions might have hurt her the morning after their conversation in the study. When she leaves after that horrible moment of his raising his hand, he remembers her words and you can see him thinking about it, reflecting on it. Whenever she is in the room, you can see that his attention is on her. But he is still too proud to apologise to her. He is a proud man who is used to getting his way in everything. But that is not how one is successful when it comes to love.

I know Feroze Khan is doing a phenomenal job portraying all the shades of emotions that Basit is grappling with. However Ushna Shah should also be commended for bringing Ayesha to life. Not a single moment do you feel as if Ayesha's behaviour is unnatural. From the small moments of surprises, to the pain of this cold marriage, to the frustrated anger of being so powerless before Basit's enormous wealth and influence.

Ok 4 scenes in part 2 which belonged to ayet and were beautifully done ..

She comes bk from the dinner , dejected ,embarrassed but he is in no mood to listen . I took it casually as he didn't do it on purpose,he was actually stuck up... but later when ayesha told him that he is ashamed to accompany her , I got the point ..

He gave her money ..again ..and she had to pass it on to bano ..the helplessness of these women was wonderfully portrayed . Vaise qudsiya does it purposely doesn't she ? She has the money which basit gave her .

I totally get ayeshas problem ..she would happily accept money from basit provided he gave her the rights of a wife . Without that it's just a favour , his way of saving his face , he doesn't want her to work outside .

She anyways went for the iv only to be caught as basit was already there cracking a deal. Howcome that guy knows ayesha ?😆 Bhabhiji bhi saath aayi hai. Is it true that ayesha is this famous in the city ? He holds her hand and brings her home, all calm and composed but a raging Fire within .

I loved their bedroom scene bec this is a major progress ..ayesha wanted to clear what's her status in his life , she painfully asks for divorce and he gets mad...it's a major trigger point for him since divorce and separation of his parents made him what he is ....we got a sneak peek into his heart that the relationship is pure for him, which he wants to and will nibhao,it's not a contract ..

As for the raising hand yes it's disturbing but it's also imp to show that ayesha isn't a doormat . He reflects upon it later ,regrets it and also says sorry . She doesn't forget it , she is majorly disappointed at his behavior and is in no mood to forgive . They didn't glorify it like it's a husband's haq n that shit.

The rishta scene was hilarious to me..basit wrapped it up in one sentence and bam !😆 Qudsiya must be happy . He knows he can pay any amount of money for zoyas wedding but those who r demanding dowry directly don't deserve it.looking at Zoya, yeah they probably do , only deserve her but as basit is there , he won't let it happen . It was a good moment I felt where he took this decision as the sil .....I wish they showed what bano and ayesha thought abt this rejection.

The last scene where they talk was lovely ..they talk abt a lot of stuff , he says sorry , she doesn't accept, he asks her what did this family ever gave her ..her reply is what I totally loved ..hosla, sabr, and a lot of other words ..👏 Very very well written and very true to life...relationships do make us like that and she was also hinting that basit must know this...all relationships r like this , basit and his parents also..only if he cud accept it , understood her and forgive her , it would have made him a better person ,like ayesha..

The show reminds me of zgh where each scene was relevant , written and executed extremely well..hats off to the team! And congratulations! Their show will def top the charts.

So... I just finished watching both episodes. Part 2 didn't have the subtitles yet but I could follow still. After several guesses on the spelling I found out what Ehtram means. Respect.

And I think that is what sums up this double episode so well. Giving respect to the mothers, sisters, Ayesha or to your guests or even to the hosts.

I will wait with writing here, giving away spoilers.

Yes. Ehtaram means respect .

I saw the promo too..I think they have put the scenes from the ost. May be they want to keep it a surprise...I am getting this feeling that next week will be a major step for ayet. Basit will show his loving and caring side ro ayesha which will eventuallylead to the cake scene ..or next week will be for his mom . She will have a heart attack and basit will realize he cares..

I think he does respect everyone but in his own way. He doesn't know how to show it in a conventional way as he has been devoid of all relations since childhood..it was only his father and him . He also understands his duties otherwise he wouldn't come for zoyas rishta .

Coming to think of it , ayesha loves her selfish and manipulative mother , to the extent that she is with basit bec of her insistence ..toh basit is a much better person that her , will she be able to forgive him for 75 lakhs 😕 when the time will come to walk the walk and talk the talk, will she?

My first time posting in this thread... But the double dose of good episodes made me want to join the discussions here.

Loved both part 1 and part 2. I was pretty shocked by the almost slapping scene. Never expected something like that from Basit. But i found two good things in that. First, he made it loud and clear to ayesha that this nikaah is serious for him. He will nibhao this rishta. Second, I liked that ayesha immediately left the room. Did not take the violence lightly and is not ready to easily forgive and forget. Hoping Basit will give a more genuine apology in the next episode than the one we got in the car.

Some other highlights:

Qudsiya continues to be shameless. And worst, she has no regrets. She has spent all her life making unfair demands from bua, bano, and ayesha. And now she has really considered Basit as her son because she keeps making unfair demands from him.

The moment that zoya's bf said make sure your ammi listens to all that my ammi says quietly, I knew it ki dowry ki baat hogi. Happy that Basit bhagaoed them promptly. He has a lot of emotional failings, but no one cannot deny he is principled and fair. Loved that he shamed them by calling beggars because that is what anyone making demands for dowry is.

The scene where bano calls ayesha and asks for money was really well done. It shows the difference between Qudsiya and bano. Love the bond these sisters share. Hope Bano does well in Basit's company.

The scene in the study was also very powerful. What I loved was that as expected Basit did not get angry there. He was annoyed supremely, but did not shout on her like the walima night. And the way ayesha said what you think as hate for your mother is actually love. I am happy she got a peek into his once-naram dil. It will help her in pighaloing the patthar it has become.

Another small but great bit of dialogue was the ayesha and sadia scene. Both are related to Basit, but both do not have any real haq on him. Basit has not given either of them any love or care to make them feel wanted and loved. In Basit's head, he might think he is giving respect to ayesha. But he is as indifferent to her as to his mother.

I think he made complete sense when he told ayesha the reason why she can't be doing the job elsewhere .

Firstly she isn't qualified enuf to get a respectable level of job . She is bright but she had to drop her studies....A PA to someone basit is cracking deals with is truly embarrassing . Self respect is just fine but she really needs to see the problem here.i totally agree with basit.. She can do something of her own. Take tuitions or something which she was doing earlier .

Secondly what makes her think that her job would do the needful for her family? Yes they may be having 4-5k to arrange for the snacks but will she be able to pay that much dowry incase the boys side demand it , like they were doing ? For a change I liked qudsia in these 2 epis.

She was selfish and greedy for bobbi , bano and ayesha but marrying Zoya into this family was wrong . Ayesha is also wrong to consider it only bec Zoya loves him . I hope now she can see the diff. The boy who isn't independent and only want to do awaragardi on his parents money, and his parents expect the girls side to pay for all of it , how is it possibly good ?

N now basit sees why it was imp to help bano with a job . He offers her one immediately so that this topic is over for good.

I love ushna as much as i love fk in this show but in these 2 epis I loved fk more..as a character and actor both...I am kinda scared with ayeshas self respect phobia. Girls get in all sorts of problems due to it , acting stubborn , immature and not understanding the pros and cons before throwing away their precious relationship. I've had a terrible experience with rumi..when these girls get obsessed abt something , inko koi aur cheez samajh nai aati
