You know what would have made a great plot? If Adi had gone ahead and married SP, and Goldie had witnessed it and finally realised she didn't deserve his love. And with that, he would have also realised how much trouble he's caused to his family, especially his sister. Then maybe we see him getting his life back on track and help bring a lot of business and profit to the Dhaba.
Meanwhile, the Singh family business is going down the drain day by day and Ambar makes a series of bad decisions which leads to near bankruptcy. Adi still refuses to join the family business, insisting on setting up his own restaurant which makes SP frustrated.
On the other side, Ginni's dhaba is so successful that they open up another branch in the city, which turns out to be a competitor to Adi's new restaurant. Adi's restaurant suffers losses as people prefer going to Ginni's dhaba.
SP sees the success of Grewals and regrets leaving Goldie. She then decides to leave Adi for Goldie, and comes back the Grewal house claiming that she is still Goldie's wife legally and wants to come back in his life. When Adi confronts her about this, she reveals that the baby was never his and she lied to get married to a rich dude like him. Goldie and Ginni pretend to accept SP back in their lives, but are actually trying to gather evidence of all her fraud activites. Once they do, they get her arrested - SP vows to come back in their lives for revenge.
Daarji tells Adi that what he did to Grewal family was very wrong and points out his behaviour with the Grewals was very much like how Ambar behaved with Gurkeerat, which makes Adi regret his behaviour. He goes to seek an apology from them, but Ginni shoos him away. So it becomes his Zidd to get them to forgive him and he decides to work at the Dhaba to show his repentance. What ensues is loads of romantic nok jhok, and Ginni witnessing the nice side of ARS. Ginni also learns of Adi's tragic past and that softens her towards him and she decides to forgive him. By this time, Adi ends up falling in love with Ginni.
But then Ginni's marriage gets fixed somewhere else, and we finally get to see Adi's channa mereya sad-face. Adi confesses his love to Ginni but tells her he would not stop her wedding as he justs wants her to be happy. We see an angsty Adi helping out with wedding arrangement, as a confused Ginni looks on. Finally, on the day of the wedding Ginni realises she loves Adi too and to her surprise, the Grewals also agree to the match as they had always sensed something going on between the two of them. Then Adi and Ginni get married and the show ends with them running Khushwant da Dhaba together.
