And I think that is what sums up this double episode so well. Giving respect to the mothers, sisters, Ayesha or to your guests or even to the hosts.

I had to look up ehtram as well...and yess....the main problem with Basit's attitude post marriage is this issue. 😒

Loved both part 1 and part 2. I was pretty shocked by the almost slapping scene. Never expected something like that from Basit. But i found two good things in that. First, he made it loud and clear to ayesha that this nikaah is serious for him. He will nibhao this rishta. Second, I liked that ayesha immediately left the room. Did not take the violence lightly and is not ready to easily forgive and forget. Hoping Basit will give a more genuine apology in the next episode than the one we got in the car.

Some other highlights:

Qudsiya continues to be shameless. And worst, she has no regrets. She has spent all her life making unfair demands from bua, bano, and ayesha. And now she has really considered Basit as her son because she keeps making unfair demands from him.

The moment that zoya's bf said make sure your ammi listens to all that my ammi says quietly, I knew it ki dowry ki baat hogi. Happy that Basit bhagaoed them promptly. He has a lot of emotional failings, but no one cannot deny he is principled and fair. Loved that he shamed them by calling beggars because that is what anyone making demands for dowry is.

The scene where bano calls ayesha and asks for money was really well done. It shows the difference between Qudsiya and bano. Love the bond these sisters share. Hope Bano does well in Basit's company.

The scene in the study was also very powerful. What I loved was that as expected Basit did not get angry there. He was annoyed supremely, but did not shout on her like the walima night. And the way ayesha said what you think as hate for your mother is actually love. I am happy she got a peek into his once-naram dil. It will help her in pighaloing the patthar it has become.

Another small but great bit of dialogue was the ayesha and sadia scene. Both are related to Basit, but both do not have any real haq on him. Basit has not given either of them any love or care to make them feel wanted and loved. In Basit's head, he might think he is giving respect to ayesha. But he is as indifferent to her as to his mother.

The boy who isn't independent and only want to do awaragardi on his parents money, and his parents expect the girls side to pay for all of it , how is it possibly good ?

N now basit sees why it was imp to help bano with a job . He offers her one immediately so that this topic is over for good.

I love ushna as much as i love fk in this show but in these 2 epis I loved fk more..as a character and actor both...I am kinda scared with ayeshas self respect phobia. Girls get in all sorts of problems due to it , acting stubborn , immature and not understanding the pros and cons before throwing away their precious relationship. I've had a terrible experience with rumi..when these girls get obsessed abt something , inko koi aur cheez samajh nai aati

Hey girl...loved what you wrote in the other posts on last night's episodes...but here I have something to say regarding Basit's attitude towards Ayesha not working. I agree with Fahad on this one. Basit doesn't really seem to make much consideration for the fact that before marrying him, Ayesha had a life of her own. He demands Ayesha forget everything about her previous life and become this ideal wife for him who sits at home all day. As Fahad had said that if he wanted he could give Ayesha another position in his company. But Basit doesn't even consider that option. He could have told Ayesha to return to studying. He doesn't do that. And whenever he finds her doing something from her heart, her wishes...he has a problem with that. In ep 12 it was 'not your job' and 'I don't like deep relationships', in this one he had a problem with her touching his things. The fact that he doesn't go for the dinner Fahad had invited them to...it felt to me that he was thinking about it when he returns but then he gives a shrug like it is nothing and then stretches on the couch. When Ayesha returns, he is there. She is right. He could have gone to meet them had he wanted. But he doesn't think it to be worth it. He doesn't even consider the fact that Ayesha was there making a new acquaintance and as her husband he should have been beside her. He doesn't care that the dinner was to welcome Ayesha into their circle and it comes out when he says, Fahad is my friend so I will deal with the embarrassment bit. Ayesha was the one embarrassed. But Basit has no consideration of that. But then you see that moment when he realises his words had hurt her. But he doesn't intend to apologise and so says that typical thing that men say...I have come home tired. Ughh...that moment...I was so glad when Ayesha left saying she too was tired.

Agree Completely..that's his attitude with ayesha which really pisses her off and she has no clue what she should and shouldn't do.

Ur options for ayesha are good , they just need to discuss it...I think he doesn't want ayesha in his office bec his staff was already gossiping about them n they got married n it will be embarrassing for both ...like they r still joking abt the pa that he will have to buy her a new phone .

Yaar ab this money issue will drag for too long , till 75 lakhs truth is out n that will be her breaking point . He doesn't seem to understand her self respect and she is also getting impatient ..I blame him more..he hasn't opened up , shared anything n he stops her from doing literally everything which makes her feel unwanted and trapped in this marriage .

But then I love how ayesha deals with him..she wakes up late , comes down if he needs something in breakfast ..asks him..he shuns his mom ..she realized she isn't needed , she quickly walks away..only to run to give his wallet 😆 next day she doesn't wake up only and he asks Karim ayesha kahan hai😆

I still believe he was stuck up at work otherwise he would have come . Not very exited to come but it was fahad ..his best friend...why didn't he consider it imp? He refused tea at ayeshas . Kabhi nai he had a morsel of food frm them...

Ab yahi toh sab issues hai basit ke which needs to be dealt with....if he was the perfect guy there would be no story ..they r so much like zaroon and kashaf..two complex personalities but I can't say any of them was wrong ..

Btw did you notice the morning Basit asks "Ayesha kahan hai?", the table is laid out with a big breakfast. The day before Ayesha had said that one should have breakfast then the whole day passes well. Earlier during morning meals, the table would lie almost empty.

He tells his mom that she is trying to make ayesha the conventional wife for him , this is what his problem is..he isn't used to it , also scared to trust and depend on someone for his needs. First day he said he needs time , ayesha will have to give him that ..he will come around coz he is willing to give this marriage a chance.

hahaha!! @bold Absolutely!! I was watching with my mum and she said he is trying to get her attention. These two episodes showed one thing for clear, while Ayesha keeps thinking that Basit doesn't notice her...actually he is intensely aware of her and his eyes follow her whenever she is around him (apart from when she is looking at him 😆)

Ok! So am back with another teeny tiny observation...hehe

So I think I can safely say that in South Asian societies display of affection is not something that comes naturally. We might be blessed with families where such displays are considered normal, but in general, people get all stiff, hugs are not that common let alone kisses. But anger comes easily. Repressed as he is, I think the moment when Basit raised his hand was also the moment when he left out the option of having a not so "gehrey rishta".

Haha I have a bad habit of keeping on writing... so yes expect many more long posts! I am just loving this show and the slow progression it is showing in the relationship. Hope we continue to get such beautiful episodes.
