Sholay is the ultimate masala film, was released on 15th August 1975, completed 47 years, it has all the spices – drama, melodrama, romance, action, music – and they’re blended perfectly, Filmfare named it Best Film of the Last 50 Years in 2005, and it was No 1 in Time Out’s 100 Best Bollywood Movies poll in January 2015.

This film is an institution in itself. Young talents who want to make it big in films can learn so many things from it. Although it isn't an original story, it is inspired, but the film that has come out is a masterpiece.

You might be right, after all it is an amalgam four great Westerns in addition to having the great RDB's great music
