A male lead like Aryan Singh Rathore comes once in a bluemoon, a rarity on itv. Initially I remember comparing him to Arnav Singh Raizada from IPK cause he was sort of a jerk when he was first introduced. As the episodes went on, it became apparent that Aryan is very different, a feminist. Someone who shows a tough exterior but is soft on the inside. A ml that respected women especially the fl, realized that she has much to offer and do in her life. That she is a survivor considering what happened in her life at such a young age which could break others. Gave her the strength and courage to spread her wings and fly. That her past doesn't define who she is as a person and he won't let her or anyone do that. Plus he is not toxic and neither has his relationship with Imlie been like that. During the marriage track it might have seemed to be going that way but he realized that he was wrong in forcing Imlie to marry him and that it should be her own choice. So he gave her the choice to take the last phera and complete the wedding rituals. Not only marriage but everything Imlie does should be based on her own choice and no one else's. Even the reason behind him being adament on marring Imlie was to save her from ruining her life because she would never stop running after Aditya and his family. Never doubted her once, full trust on her. Whenever he was in the wrong about something he apologized immediately . Had no shame in saying sorry and his ego never got in the way. Even post leap he said sorry to Imlie when he was wrong. The relationship between them has never been transactional. Aryan has never expected anything out of Imlie aside from her reaching her potential and being successful.
So, so, so true. During the first few episodes I thought, ok so he's one of those typical male leads who will treat his woman like trash until one day he falls in love with her and turns into a softie. But how wrong I was. The way he has always respected her, pushed her to do better, helped her overcome her fears, nurtured her potential, always treated her as his equal totally bowled me over. He is truly like no other, my favourite of all time. This man has my heart❤
