Jodie Foster is the best ever rookie FBI agent... Buffalo Bill still scares me ... And what to talk of Dr Lecter ( Anthony Hopkins )... His dialogues of eating a liver with some fava beans and washing it down with a chiannti is still blood curdling

The back ground music almost borders on a funeral score throughout the movie...

Yes I know and that movie was based of the books written by Thomas Harris (which were also so good!!). I havent seen the Hannibal movie so I dont know if the series is based off that. The series isnt the greatest but it has some of its high points

Lecter is generally known to kill ( read eat ) his victims who are "" Rude "" to him... That's why he kills the prisoner in the cell next to him for exhibiting Rude behaviour towards Clarice ....He also tells Clarice in the final scene He is having Dr Chilton for dinner

However it is not clear why he cannibalizes the police officer before escaping from Baltimore prison....

Same goes for Buffalo Bill the transvestite serial killer .... If you watch his dialogues carefully He never utters the word He " or " She "... He always says IT does this .....

There isn't a role that Anthony Hopkins hasn't given justice to.

Also, loved Jodie Foster in Contact and Panic room.
