It's not about logic. It's about storytelling. You can make audience believe a teenage boy can fly on a broom if you write the script well enough. Bollywood doesn't believe in actual writing or scripting. That's pretty clear from their movies. Rajamouli does. So he's successful. Maybe Bollywood should learn the right lessons from him and actually get good scripts.

Yeah what about it? Bollywood gets mocked because it has become stagnant and it is failing even in the departments it used to be good.

why are SLB or Ashutosh clubbed with SSR?Just coz all make high budgeted movies?SLB or AG are more about romance than about action and patriotism et cetera, they haven't shown the capability to direct action sequences like RRR,they haven't created that impact like SSR did in the very last portion of RRR,and their stories don't even require the use of CGI.

KJo too clubs Bollywood's attempt at action movies with SSR's movies or KGF,I can't say about kgf coz I haven't seen it but RRR is so much more than a usual action movie

agree, it is to show we also have the same ability, there is some logic if you compare a shyam benegal, satyajit ray and adoor gopalakrishnan. Or a shekhar kapoor, maniratnam or rgv (at their peak).

Rajamouli's only predecessor is Shankar.

Wait and see if brahamstra is decently recieved they will claim ayaan is james cameroon

kgf is a specific genre, hyper action which will appeal to certian audience but prashant neel has written it very well

they just dont want to admit theyare making mediocre movies and the same audience made their great movies super hits

i have also seen the following narratives in recent times

we made similar movies but audience have some bias so they rejected us, basically play victim, they are not realising this is questioning the audiences intellegence will put them off. If I am spendng my hard earned money I will do it because I like a movie not for some silly cause

south also has nepotism (who said no) so why point us without realising that aamir succeded not faisal, hrithik, kajol are never talked about for nepotism. to question a fahadh, allu arjun (who I never thought capable of a role like pushpa)is meaningless. by simple logic why will anyone watch allu arjun in hindi where he has no background

Uninformed hindi audience like me didn't know about these actors like RC, NTR Jr, Allu Arjun or Yash before these movies became such huge hits😆. So if someone like me watches these movies and enjoys it, it is only and only because of its content or the entertainment value attached to it. Infact, going by the logic hindi actors would have an edge over South actors because of the language advantage and more exposure. So to blame audience for giving a preferential treatment to South actors is laughable. These articles and interviews from here and there are becoming too common these days. I mean khullam khulla demonstration of insecurity going on.😆

Yup I had no idea who RC and NTR were. I haven’t watched Bahubali either. For me, RRR was just a genuinely good film. It kept me glued to the screen. The story was imaginative and moving. An audience will allow you a lot of creative liberty if you make a story engaging and they feel immersed in the experience.

Somehow Bollywood is focused more on the glitz and glamour element and they have lost the art of storytelling. As for the nepotism element I feel part of the problem is overexposure so the stars don’t feel fresh. For me the south actors had genuine charisma and suited the roles they were cast in as opposed to being cast for the sake of it.
