Privileged outsider who works his ass off to give performances which others can only dream of

What would you have him do? Drag people to theatres?

The only movies I have been watching since past so many years even before nepotism debates began by kangna are if they have RRR, ayushman, ishan and likes.

I got so bored by the formula movies that I stopped clicking on their trailers also. I don't remember which of the last movies I watched of any khan. Not even bajrangi or dangal or Chennai express. The last of ranveer was probably padmavat and that of Ranbir's was...maybe ajab premki. Just the other day while commenting on a polll question, i realised i havent watched a single movie of varun or tiger till date.It was never about nepo vs outsiders but my interest has organically shifted to content driven cinema long ago. no big ticket or mainstream bollymovie excites me no matter who the starcast is.

Among females, I watch bhoomi unless it's too artsy types. I watch Sanya M and fatty mami coz they do a lot of small indie movies. I also watched jhanvi's Sairat, good luck jerry and sara's atrangi and loved them girls in these two. I have yet to watch any ananya movie apart from Pati patni aur woh. I have watched only one movie from alia and that was highway. Haven't watched any top actress movie in a looooong time.

The dig at RRR being privileged is pathetic since he wasn't given a ready-made platform and worked his ass off to be where he is today. And even then he isn't getting the types of movies and buzz varuns and tigers are getting. He is happy doing small scale movies which connect at grassroots level. If one is to be judged based on BO pull, none of the khans, kumar, bir-veer etc can guarantee it unless they inflate the numbers which they have been indulging in for a long time now. The difference between Their's and RRR's BO pull is the lack of resources and friendly media who can turn his flops into hits and averages like the way they did with alia's gangubai and most khan movies.

I am sorry he doesn’t look good in my opinion. I rather see good looking outsiders like ssr rip, Adi, sid and etc,.

The day a privileged insider gets admission into a prestigious film school like FTII by merit, spends three years learning acting, passes out in 2008, auditions and gets supporting actor roles in films like Talaash, LSD, etc and then finally gets a worthwhile lead role as Shahid in 2012, gets a national award for it at the age of 28 and then gives critically acclaimed performances back to back from Bareily Ki Barfi to Newton and recently Badhaai Do and still struggle and do average films in the middle to earn money without any backing of big production houses and finally get a film backed by a big production house like Dharma in 2022 after almost 14 years of his film journey... that very same day I will agree that RKR is a 'privileged' insider.

Replace any other 'privileged insider' in the place of RKR and ask them to do the terrace scene of Badhaai Do where he breaks down after coming out in front of his family...phat ke haath mein aa jata unka 🤡

Ji Janaab, Phat ke producers ka aa chuka hai usko film mein le le kar. 35 Cr ke budget pe bani Badhai do, 19 Cr hi kama paayi, Phatti nahi cheeerr hoke haath mein hi aa gayi hai uske producer ki.

Go tell this thesis to the producers of those 22 Flop/Disaster films. Their lives are blessed as RKR did their films.

Toh phatke haath mein aane do, that's the producer's headache not mine 😆 I am talking as audience. Atleast RKR gives money's worth and can act and move his facial muscles beyond eye twitching and nose flaring. Aapko itna problem kyun ho raha hai jaise aap khud producer ho us film ka? 😆
