even I am confuse about that, i think its the height, or generally aise scene mein ladki ko gadi mein baithate hain dhakke se and baki wo khud hi baith jati hai, ismein proper they showed that how he helped her to get into car, mostly I feel its the height thing but would like to believe mehak resistance and shamsher softness

I guess what the makers are trying to show that Shamsher isn't evil. He's brash, short-tempered and nuts...but he aint his father.
