Duryodhan got hastinapur. Duryodhan got the throne. Even though yudi was the eldest son of the previous king - pandu. But all pandavas got was a barren land - khandava

The empire they built up is on the basis of their own hard work and alliance to panchal. That itself should be prove enough how capable Pandavas were

Duryodhan had to resort to dyuth to win Pandavas hard earned empire
