RK himself has zero interest in social media or promoting himself, he cannot expect everyone to shoulder elevating him with no efforts himself. Two three years he goes on sanyaas and alia/KJO have to keep plugging his name into convos.

You gotta be connected to people to remain relevant man. He’s lucky he’s still getting massive movies after these disasters.

Exactly, Mahesh Bhatt is far from a great dad and even in interviews and their interactions, while she obviously loves him she’s always more comfortable around Karan.

I mean the guy has taken a personal interest in curating her career; Mahesh Bhatt ka beta Rahul is still begging him for movies, Mahesh wouldn’t have done shit for her, she owes KJO everything.

kjo is realizing his diminishing importance, he has basically rode on trends, the chopra-barjataya- srk -nri trend.

he is not a top director. in hindi currently its slb, nitesh tiwari, hirani or the indie ones like shoojit or balki.

and then at the pan india level, there is rajamouli, neel and so many great ones like vetrimaraan, lijo, pa ranjith, sukumar, rishab shetty etc

he wont figure in any list anywhere

the era of stars is getting over, even alia or rk cant bolster him when they need great directors or writers to survive

the really good directors don't really need his production and his reputation doesnt help

jug jug jeeyo is competing with likes of bb2, which are hits for the moment but not timeless movies

he can only bask so much in reflected glory by tagging along a rajamouli etc

his directorial rcoky rani will at the best be good hit bit not some trend setter

finally cinema is reaching a level where content , originality matters and his media management and networking cant cover the fact that his a limited in talent and 2nd tier at the best

This so much. He would probably love to be India's Orson Wells, but doesn't have the talent and the creativity. Rather, he epitomizes Bollywood's mediocrity and diminishing relevance - the tendency he's partly responsible for because he chooses to work with subpar (mostly nepo) casts and crews.
