even if that statement was true I don’t think it would be applicable to chat show like KWK which affects people other than it’s regular viewers too.

I've seen majority of criticism for recent episodes on platforms like Twitter come from stans of certain celebrities who get peeved with Karan’s constant attempts at hyping Alia, Ranbir, and their marriage , number of irritated viewers is low in comparison.

Oh, God. Trolling KJo's Alia obsession is one thing, but why are some people acting like it's a policy of national importance? 😆 Paisa uska, chat show uska. Don't like the show? Change the channel. Just like people didn't watch Shamshera, don't watch KwK

I think it’s combination of Mahesh not necessarily being a great dad, KJo finally finding someone who will listen to him the way SRK, Kareena, Kajol etc didn’t, and him providing Alia with the career opportunities that she very well knew her family’s production never could. He’s making her career and she’s stoking his ego and controlling tendencies. Didn’t he mention in his book that once he gets interested in mentoring someone he wants a say in every aspect of their lives down to how they should dress? He might have exaggerated things in his book, but I think he does enjoy the power he has over Alia and the knowledge that he’s made her.
