I really hoped we would've gotten a flashback episode like most American shows do...that show the lives of the characters before they meet each other...and there's a tonne of foreshadowing there.

actually quite a few dialogues have been very foreshadowing. The convo between Shamsher and Mehak when the later calls to tell she is ready to marry him. When Shamsher and Mehak exchange that "only if you knew" wala dialogue. In fact even Atiqa telling Shamsher that we hum sab ko tumhari is zidd ki keemat chukani padegi.
