*Long post alert*

The story is set in Amritsar and is about Aditya Raj Singh who is a Canada return chef and Ginni who runs a dhaba with her family.

Adi's mom Gurkirat died when he was a kid. In his childhood, Adi and his mom draw a picture of the kind of dhaba they want to open. Adi's dad Ambar had an extra marital affair with Supreet (and is now married to her). Ambar is a piece of shi* and keeps forcing Adi to accept her as his mother. Adi hates her and pours hot oil on Supreet's hand in his childhood, following which Ambar throws Adi out of the house. He is then raised in Canada (we don't know by whom) and becomes a chef. Adi returns to India on his Daarji's insistance. He is an angry young man, hates his father and his step mom and believes that there is no strength in family, people are selfish and will act according to their own interests and not in the interests of their loved ones. He does love and respect his Daarji. Now Adi is on a mission to fulfill his mom's dream and coincidentally their dream dhaba's description exactly matches Ginni's dhaba and now he wants to buy it from her by hook or crook but Ginni is not ready to sell it to him.

Adi's family: His grandpa (daarji), his bade paapa and his wife (they have two daughters Gurleen and Manleen), his dad Ambar and step mom Supreet (I think they have a kid, not sure).

Ginni: Ginni is a simple girl who runs a dhaba with her family. She strongly believes in family values (and has had multiple arguments with Adi about the same). She lost her dad when she was a kid. He suffered from some sort of dementia before he died. He was an excellent cook and he taught Ginni how to cook. They have been running this dhaba since her dad was alive and it is very special for her. Her dad always taught her to never let the dhaba go out of their hands as it is their heritage and an aashirwaad from Babaji. Her mom's name is Gulraaj and she calls her Gulabo. Her brother Goldie is involved with some shady people due to which their family is in a debt to them. Goldie's wife also runs away to Canada, stealing 10 lakhs from them. She also has two twin siblings Dimpy and Shampy and they have been suspended from school because they failed to pay the fees. So now Ginni has the responsibility to pay off 15 lakhs of debt within a month and also to take care of her siblings.

Mysteries: Ginni's dad had a diary full of recipes which is missing now. They always think of how their life would change if they had that diary.

Adi's daarji Raajvanth has some kind of shady past and a connection with Ginni's dad.

Adi's cousin Gurleen is getting married into the Cheema family (a big business family). The Cheemas' daughter Harnaaz likes Adi and the Cheemas and Ambar- Supreet want to get Adi married to Harnaaz, even though Adi is not interested.

Daarji coincidentally visits Ginni's dhaba and after eating the food there, recognises that he has eaten the same kind of food before. He finds out that Ginni is Kushwant's daughter and to wash his mysterious sins away, decides to give the catering contract for Gurleen's marriage to Ginni.

Adi decides to use this opportunity to somehow take the dhaba from Ginni and prove her wrong about family values by manipulating her brother Goldie (since Goldie wants money to go to Canada and bring his wife back).

This is the story so far, sorry if it was too long. Hope it helps.

Hello everyone 👋

New to the forum...

I had seen the trailer and wanted to watch it coz Wahi but then again I know how ITV works, my last experience was not much good even though the leads were excellent.

But today I watched the epi and i think I can go further untill it's well and fine....

What I liked about show was-

Punjabi culture

For Adi and Ginni their motivation is FOOD for me too

Wahi from what i rem is doing the Angry kind of character first time.

Niyati is good, isn't OTT.

I dunno y he wants Adi to accept Surpreet as his mom😡...Amber wanna boss around and control everyone life🤬😡
