I think it is more because aryan is shown to be suffering more while Imlie is shown to move on strongly. for a change, I like that a FL is shown to take charge of her life 👍🏼 (I may be in minority here)

I get what they are trying to show but it's not ideal tbh. The way I see it is, he himself asked her to go, didn't stop her when she wanted to right? and then he's ruining his life like this.🤷‍♂️ it's like death mission, that too self invited. Maybe because I am looking at him from only your written updates/forum posts pov but i feel what he is doing is his own doing!
