If you click on the Forum tab between Gallery and FanFiction (on laptops and desktops) at the top of the page, that will directly take you to private forums.

On Phones, click on the 3 small bars at the left (before IF logo) and then click on the Forum tab which is below Gallery tab and above Fan Fiction tab. That will take you to Private Forums.
