If AKT was a woman..

If AKT was a woman and had been raped by an old trusted friend under the influence of drugs which she was not even aware she had taken. and that rape had resulted in pregnancy, will people still expect her to take life long responsibility of that baby and be answerable to the rapist friend.

I kept tab on show more regularly after Malini came back mainly because she was only from original cast and I am still attached to previous version. and I am shocked people are expecting AKT to come back and take responsibility of the child. Its Imlie's problem that she has to take care of everyone except the person she claims to be in love. She did this with AKT and she is now doing same with husband no 2.

Its a fact that if Imlie had accepted AKT when he kept begging and begging for 100+ episode, Malini would not have come in between them. Later what he did was 100% wrong and I always always hated him for that but I know he was human too. Yes, he made mistakes (may be unpardonable mistakes) but he was wronged too.

But why should AKT pay for Imlie's mahanta. He has already done that enough. Now He has moved on for good.

So I just wondered if AKT was woman, would people still expect the same. He was taking responsibility earlier because he didnt know he was raped. He thought he made a horrible horrible mistake. but now he knows he was raped. Why should he be held accountable for Malini and her rape child especially when Malini is more than capable to take care of kid.

And to bring in a very heavy subject, even female rape survivors are allowed to terminate the pregnancy only upto 24 weeks. 😭

But I really don't blame AKT. Blame, although I hesitate to use the word, lies solely with Imlie who never even thought about reaching out to AKT or his family. As usual, Imlie has decided she knows the best.

I salute that person's honesty that he didn't take the easy route of agreeing to Imlie's claims and put Malini behind the bar and live happily with Imlie. He did what he thought was right and I have always said this his only mistake was to not give Imlie benefit of doubt or to feel the trauma Imlie was living under and I was super vocal about that when story was still about Adilie. Other than that he was played.

Bold - After Malini's crimes were exposed and he was throwing her out of the house (EP 403), he did claim that he intend to become a good father to the baby since he knew that she will be a terrible mother. I guess the writers have conveniently forgotten that little titbit to make this current separation plot for Arylie to work.

Frankly, looking back at post-Malini PF, I feel like AKT wanted to play house with baby and Imlie. But then Imlie didn't take him back and his interest in the baby disappeared and he went off to Australia.
