Because zunisha was his friend and he thought she will do whatever he wants because she loves him. He didn't get back with her even after Naima tried her best. He don't take any of zunisha's nakre. She had to involve their families when he stopped talking to her. Also zunisha belonged to his class and status.
He agreed to marry ushna so easily simply because he wanted it. If Naima asked him to marry a random girl who was adopted and isn't rich he would have said no then and there.
