Which is the shadiest Bollywood family, and why?

Sanjay Khan and family. Sanjay Khan married actor Zeenat Aman for a small time 1978-79. She was beaten so badly by his first wife Zarine ( Sussanne' s mom) so badly that she lost eyesight of one her eye for some time.

Farah Ali Khan married DJ Akeel. He is one the biggest name in narcotic supply in the country. Some of the gems used by Farah Ali Khan are actually smuggled gemstones and blood diamonds used by inexpensive diamond jewellers.

This family has active connections with underworld and they use their connections regularly.

Zeenat Aman used to be so gorgeous and could have had her pick of eligible men. I have never understood how powerful women end up being helpless and going back to toxic men.

The DJ Akeel thing is news to me. There is some truth in the saying that a lot of the rich and powerful are closet psychopaths.

Maybe you are right. But I think being famous and the heart throb of millions counts for something. The power of people who love you is not a small thing. I think actors and actresses were also being paid well for that time, so financial independence for a woman also makes her powerful.

Zeenat was also exposed to circles of elite businessmen and industrialists, any of whom may have made a better partner than an abusive jerk.

That’s an interesting take. So actresses, despite being famous, didn’t have financial stability, unlike heroes? Damn, that must have sucked.

Is it possible then that respectable men of that time didn’t think of them as marriage material and so, actresses had to settle with others?
