I agree with everything with what you said. My only issue with her when she knew he is obsessed with her, she still was talking to him even in mehndi she asked him "aap kaise hai" in return. She did let him hold her hand. Why she is not firm in that regards. I agree, that even if she does that, he will still cross his limits but why even give one chance to that ashiq to persuade you when you know even a simple talk with him will make him crazy for you. She was still standing beside him when he said that cheesy line of broken heart and did not bother to move away from him.

Now, when to say 'no' or how to say 'no' or when 'no' should be taken seriously aren't logical questions. No is a no. Your feelings, your love, your hope, your aashiqui have no importance when there's no concent from other side. If only you are important for yourself, go and fall in love with yourself and get married to yourself because that involves only you. If you are in love with other human, there should be mutual feelings from other side, otherwise back off. The chapter of concent should be included in school syllabus to educate them from beginning the importance of concent.

so your post made me realize the genius of sufiyan character and acting in terms of produciton -- basically it is one of those anti-stalker dramas where folks watching will realize how foolish it is and how it is necessary to talk about consent and how to handle such romeos. the drama becomes a talking point (just like our threads) and it creates TRP.

if sufiyan was like shemsher in kaisi teri khudgarzi, there will be fans who think such obsessiveness is cool. so basically we all need a salman saeed in every drama to show how utterless brainless they can be and not take such characters as harmless. also, the drama shows how these characters aren't formed in isolation and there are other side characters like raeesa egging them on. so for those viewers in religious and lower middle class family where dating is not allowed, the drama can serve as a kind of talking point on what to do, what not to do and how 'no' should be taken seriously. basically all the points we are debating.

this basically means the producer is some weird genius in thrusting his younger brother on us and salman saeed is actually good actor in the way he portrayed sufiyan? 🤣🤣🤣

P.S -- I did think yesterday that sufiyan looked kind of good for a moment in a white kurta but then he started leching on ushna and I was back to wanting to slap him. oh gosh, no wonder he has some turkish fans. 🤣

Also, because we have discussed so much about the kind of love.. I feel Ushna's love for Shehroz is more of gratitude like Vibha said. She does not actually know what romantic love feels like. Someone talks to her nicely and supports her and she takes it to be love. When she tells Shehroz, she has fallen in love with him, it does look very superficial. While Shehroz's love is more about romantic feelings,passionate one like that of between a huband and wife. Hence, she is not as deeply involved like he is into the relationship. She thinks she loves him but she is not actually. He does not affect her, she does not feel jealous or possessive, she does not feel like persuading him when he is ignoring and angry with her except when zainab says. She does not show any signs of love which happens between a man and woman as a husband and wife.
