Point is they have good marriages. That is, they did make good choices. And IMHO, a mistake like DP's is much more tolerable because it's a personal mistake. A car accident can kill and maim.
I don't get this tendency to forgive men's mistakes as youthful stupidity as in the case with Ranbir. But Deepika who actually made less of a mistake is heralded as the antichrist. WTH is with this boys will be boys attitude?
I'm not talking about abuse as in sexual assault. You'd said she was 13 or 14. And Rajesh was deffo in his 30s. That's certainly abuse.
Let me clarify, the comment I was responding to said:
"Dp has poor choices in men whether it is rs the monkey or nose picker rk and the list goes on with bad decisions in men. No longer a fan of someone who keeps making dumb choices. I’ll stick to being fans of the older actresses and will watch current actresses as a neutral person "
where the older actresses had made similar "mistakes".
Relationship mistakes are fair and all but the reason why Hema Malini is so hated is because after she had a car accident she went and blamed the father of the dead children (when it was HER driver's fault)
I think that is far worse than any relationship mistake.
Tina wasn't 13/14. I said Rajesh Khanna had a reputation with being too touchy with school girls around 13-14, and that all, not to mention he married Dimple at 15. Baby at 16.
I'm sure TM-RK met during Fifty-Fifty where Tina was 23 but Rajesh Khanna was 15 years older to her and a creep. Both however were consenting adults - and RK cheated on Dimple.
