Before privatisation, Doordarshan was the only channel available and it's government funded. So everyone had only Doordarshan to watch. Srk started his career with a Doordarshan show. Then other channels like starplus, Zee etc came in the late 90s i guess.

Aha - I knew Ramayan was on Doordarshan but didn’t know that, thanks hun. We had Starplus in Canada and it used to cost a lot back then and had a big satellite dish too.

Even at the start starplus used to have good shows. I never watched the starting of kyunki. I guess at that time i only used to watch shakalaka boom boom and shararat on starplus.

Yes I heard that - my mum got it so her ladies group can talk about the show, such a weird reason 😂😂

I never watched any shows on Starplus but on Zee I used to watch Saat Phere I liked the ML there he had a very good personality.
