Abhay argues with Ranbir
Rekha is upset that her friends will have to mix with Lajwanti's family

Update:
Abhay is frustrated as he searches his room for his wallet but can't find it. Ruma [Abhay's mom] comes in and asks why he gets easily tensed nowadays and also comments that he's gotten weaker. They share a sweet mother-son moment where he tells her that he missed her love and food and teases her that now she can feed him all she wants. Huma [Abhay's sister] comes in and tells them that everyone is waiting for Abhay downstairs. She leaves and Ruma tells Abhay to keep a cool mind and listen to everyone properly. Abhay looks upset but gives in and they both ehad downstairs where the family is assembled.
Dadi and Banwari [servant or manager?] try to convince Abhay saying that Lajwanti is a good and suitable girl for him. However Dadaji intervenes saying that it's also important to take Abhay's agreement in to account but Ranbir is insistent that no discussion should be made on this and clearly tells them all that he just wants to inform Abhay about the engagement being held today. Uday tries to help Abhay out but Rekha [Uday's mom – that's her name!J] tells him not to interfere.
Abhay and Ranbir argue where Abhay tells his father that he has his own likes and dislikes and should have enough rights to choose his life partner. Ranbir however tells him that he has made a promise to Jaswant which he can not break at any cost. Abhay clearly tells him that he will not marry Lajwanti at any cost and tries to leave but Ranbir calls out that he can go now but should return in time for the engagement. Dada and Dadi are unhappy with Ranbir's behaviour but he calmly tells them that he knows how to make Abhay agree.
Upstairs…
Uday's dad is upset about the problems Abhay is facing but Rekha is more worried about what her friends will say about Lajwanti's relatives. Uday's dad rebukes her for this but Anjana, Vinay and even Ruchi agree with Rekha saying that the right girl for Abhay has been chosen and he shouldn't get tensed over this.
Ruma – Ranbir's room…
Ranbir comes in and scolds Ruma saying that because of her Abhay is spoilt and refuses to listen to his father. He becomes upset and says that he knows what is best for his son and once the marriage takes place; everything will be fine. He leaves and Uday walks in to find Ruma crying. He consoles her and tells her not to worry as Abhay is not alone and has her, Dadaji and him. Ruma smiles.
Later…
Dadi is trying to convince Dadaji but he is more concerned about that the fact that the Abhay who sued to do as he was told and never argued with elders has now changed and wonders what the reason for this is.
Outside…
Abhay is showing Liza around Delhi but she notices his worry and asks what's wrong. Uday arrives and she questions him as to when she'll meet their family. Uday smiles and assures her that it'll be soon. Liza trusts him and goes to take a few pictures whilst Uday tells Abhay that they should leave the matter alone for sometime before approaching it again. Abhay however is not convinced and says that it's time to take action and asks Uday if he will help and Uday agrees immediately.
House…
Rekha is surprised to see that Anjana is not yet ready. Anjana replies that the engagement is likely to be boring anyways and she sees no reason to dress up for something like that but Rekha convinces her that this is the time to show everyone that they are more superior than Ranbir's family. Anjana smiles and agrees.
Ruma – Ranbir's room…
Banwari is sucking up to Ranbir saying that he always makes the right decisions. He then turns to Ruma and asks her if she's not getting ready, after all it's her sons engagement. Ruma looks uncomfortable and replies that Abhay has not called yet but Ranbir harshly tells her to go and get dressed. She leaves and Banwari asks Ranbir what if Abhay does not turn up. Ranbir becomes thoughtful and confidently says that Abhay will come to the engagement.
Evening…
The house is decorated and the guests are being welcomed. Ruma asks Banwari to ring up Abhay as he must be stuck in traffic. Banwari does so and Jaswal asks Ranbir where Abhay is. Ranbir assures him that hiss on will be here and also tries ringing Abhay – just then Abhay walks in followed by Liza. Abhay holds her hand and everyone is shocked.
Preview:
Abhay calmly tells Ranbir that he won't change his decision about Liza as Lajwanti weeps. Ranbir is furious and takes the gun from the security man– everyone is stunned.
Hate Rekha and Anjana!...Liza is an absolute sweetheart though I feel sorry for Lajwanti.
