This is my first attempt at writing something on AnuGun. This is not really connected to the present track.. My imagination is from the point their marriage is fixed and they are walking towards *getting along* phase.. With occasional meetings and phone calls. The news about their marriage being fixed is not yet public.... Writing after a long long time... So pardon the mistakes...
The excited whispers and mutterings amongst the students huddled together made her curious. The usually silent and well mannered and hence boring area of the canteen that she had tagged as *Science Nook of the Canteen* seemed to have come alive. She wondered what got the nerds so excited, did the scientific world make some new inventions, found some new species or may be some benam sitara was spotted in space! Was that the surprise Chan chashmish hinted at when they talked the night before?? May be she should gather info on it so that Papa or Boo wouldn't lecture her again on keeping abreast with what interests your partner, whatever!!
"I'll just come, " She told her friends and moved towards the science nook.
"Hey you" She called out to the nearest science girl sitting by herself at the table, who almost toppled over from her seat in shock."What's your name? "
"Me?"
"Yeah, you! What's your name?" Gungun repeated the question, miffed by the way the girl seemed to be surprised. Was she that unfriendly? Sure she tried to stick to her group of friends, but she did have an occasional conversation with people outside her circle too.
"San.. Sanjana"
"So Sanjana" GG sauntered over to her. "What's up?"
"Ummm.. Nothing. You can have the table. I finished and will leave now"
" No no," GG placed a hand delicately over her shoulder, "Don't leave on my account." She sat down on the chair next to her. "I just want info. "
"Oh? "
" What new thing happened in Science World? "
"New thing?" She took a moment as if contemplating, "Nothing I know of, Ridhima"
"Call me Gungun. My friends call me Gungun" GG smiled in encouragement.
"Okkk.. Gungun" She smiled hesitantly.
"Tell me, if nothing new was invented, what are you all so excited about? "
"Oh that?" GG nodded her head in agreement. "We are having a seminar today! " She said excitedly.
*They were so excited about additional study stuff!! * GG mentally rolled her eyes. *Really?*
"And you know what? Mr. Anubhav Kurukshetra, is the speaker!! "
"What!" GG shouted.
" Exciting, right?"
"What is so exciting about that?" GG muttered morosely.
"Well, for one he is the winner of the Scientist of the Year award. And... " Sanjana paused as if for impact.
"And?" GG couldn't resist.
"And he is very handsome, has a good job .. Definitely a fine catch. Rumour mill has it that his family is on the look out for a suitable girl."
"Hmph"
"Nice talking to you Gungun. I need to hurry now or else all the front seats will be taken up. " Sanjana hurried away.
*Chan Chashmish was coming to her college...
And he didn't tell her! * she fumed.
*Well... He did say there was a surprise for her* she tried to pacify herself as she walked towards the rest rooms ignoring her friends who called out to her.
She found a long queue in front of the mirror, students brushing their hair or reapplying make up.. Mostly science students from what she could make.
*Hmph*
Well... Anyone wish to take over from here?? A jealous GG is the goal.
