My reply would be this wonderful poem i had read in school, from Ramdhari singh dinkar, called shakti aur shama. In it Shri Krishna is making Yudishter understand that forgiveness and kindness is only respected after you defeat your enemies and put them beneath you, otherwise your kindness will be considered weakness, cowardice and stupidity

क्षमा, दया, तप, त्याग, मनोबल

सबका लिया सहारा

पर नर व्याघ्र सुयोधन तुमसे

कहो, कहाँ कब हारा ?

क्षमाशील हो रिपु-समक्ष

तुम हुये विनत जितना ही

Translation of some of those paragraphs

Forgiveness can only suit a snake which has poison and is dangerous. A fangless, weak snake forgiving anyone is useless

For 3 days Shri Ram had begged the sea to give him way, he had pleaded but he didn't get a single reply. When his anger rose and he took up his arms the sea had to beg his forgiveness and fall on his feet

In reality politness shines only when you are brave and strong, and any peace and negotiation comes only from a point of strength

The world only worships patience, forgiveness and kindness if you have real strength backing it up

In context of Anupama, abusers who have shown scant regret and havent been punished cannot be candidates for forgiveness. For someome to be forgiven, they need to ask for it. Need to repent for it. Need to deserve it. Need to earn it

Being mahaan for sake of it is just a sign of weakness. Abusers never get karma. They never learn their lessons. The cycle perpetuates. The viewers also take away that abuse is not a big deal

If you respect abusers just because they are related or had a past with you, then your respect loses value. If you give your loving parents/friends same respect as your abuser, then love is same as abuse for you

Being judgemental when needed is strength, not weakness. Standing up for yourself is strength not weakness.

a very good perception. Really. Main shayad yehi bolti if the charac arcs were slightly diff. Idk but (just my pov here), they have changed Anuj’s charac in the last 4-5 months or so. The hopeful and optimist in me still thinks this track/show can be salvaged.
